She tried to raise awareness to human suffering that was happening at the time.

She received death threats for it.

People cheered when she left the country.


They pretended it was due to being outraged by the Anzac tweet... but it was probably for other reasons for some...

Is this serious? I’d say there would be a very real fear for father and daughter that the guy sending uninvited explicit messages has something very real in mind.

Interesting for a before and after. Folau after the meeting with Rugby Australia. Imagine being that one in the five that fails to settle at conciliation and you thought you were leaving there with $10 million. Now you have to go home and tell your wife you probably should have taken their first offer. This is the face of fright.

Patriotism is deeper than that. Patriots will gather in the streets and dismantle the government, even resist the military in order to protect and preserve whatever principles and values are fundamental and important to them.
Nationalists are trivial jingoistic flag waving blinded sheep that do as they are told and enforce this discipline amongst their own - usually demarcated along racial and class lines. They also blindly support wars and the crimes perpetrated by their so called political representatives as well as regressive laws and intrusions into the privacy and rights of citizens.

Australia is the only Western nation that lacks a bill of human rights.

Where are the Patriots?

I believe if the Magna Carta were torn to shreds the day it was written, it would be replaced and bettered the next day ad infinitum, because logic, reason and the scientific method are like that.
On the other hand, faith and religion, not a skerrik of a chance.

You could say the same thing about Rugby Australia via Qantas. Here's a hot tip. If RA lose this legal case (and its a good chance) you can bet Qantas will be propping it up.

Why you should never bend over (pardon the pun) to corporate wokeness.

These people will throw you overboard at the drop of a hat.

There only true loyalty is to there own ideology and identity group.

Particularly true of the identity tribe Alan Joyce represents.

When it comes down to it, they will be your friend...but you need to know they will throw you into the sea to make room for one of there own in the life raft, if they have too. Always.

I already said RA would probably have been prepared to offer him more than $1 million at reconciliation. Was it $5 million, half of what he was asking? Probably not or he would have taken it imo.

Not a lawyer but I have some law, is it enough I was involved in professional sports management and dealing with sponsors to give me just a little cred? Not much, just a little. And that I was also sponsored by way of never having to pay for anything of a particular brand at sporting goods outlets. Because I was a 'fit' for their brand, if next time I went in I'd have got all lumpy and gone up two sizes I probably would have had to pay for it. That's how it works.

Or if one of the bosses saw me standing on a corner waving a bible around yelling at people that they're going to hell unless they repent in one of their hoodies ... ? Forget it.
