Religion Folau

It seems that Rugby Australia thought that it was in it's best interests to settle the matter - Folau obviously did as well otherwise, he'd have said no thanks to Rugby Australia and gone for the whole 14 million plus expenses and most importantly, if you were to believe Folau, prove that he has the right to say whatever the f**k he want's to because he's a Christian.

Let's get this straight because too many are viewing this as some kind of victory for Folau, it is not, nor is it a win for Rugby Australia other than this issue now being put to bed and the controversy ending.

Yesterday, a joint statement from Rugby Australia, NSW Rugby and Folau confirmed a settlement had been reached: "While it was not Rugby Australia's intention, Rugby Australia acknowledges and apologises for any hurt or harm caused to the Folaus.". "Similarly, Mr Folau did not intend to hurt or harm the game of rugby and acknowledges and apologises for any hurt or harm caused."

The joint statement above says that the matter is at an end and both parties are sorry for any harm or hurt and it was not their intention to do so. There was NO DECISION made by any court of law. The only decision made was by Folau who jettisoned principles for money. He banged on about his right to say what he wants about whomever he wants without having to take into consideration what consequences it may have for innocent people who have done absolutely nothing wrong. He was adamant that it was a principle that he had to uphold as a Christian but when he was confronted with a choice between principle and money, the f****ng **** chose the doe!
He was always gonna take the money and run. Like our PM, these fake theists given the choice between god and mammon, they choose mammon every single time.

So many people don't understand how Christianity works. There's this whole book full of old stuff and you pick and choose which of that stuff you like and which of that stuff you don't like. Once you've decided what's important (ie your own interpretation of what God wants) then you cry persecution if anyone calls you up on it. Simples.
and it's the same when those morons take bits and pieces from the Koran or the Torah and hijack religions to espouse their supremacist clap trap - "but I'm only exercising my freedom of speech".

He got himself 8 million dollars and he loves it but he did not prove in court that he was wronged - it did not get to court! Is that so hard to understand?

If some f****ng idiot said that all Christians are evil and should be beheaded, is that acceptable? Is that exercising ones right to speak ones mind on religious issues?

Don't some of you get it? This has nothing whatsoever to do with freedom of speech. What Folau did was persecute a section of the community by hijacking a religion and to show how committed he was to the principle of being able to speak his mind, he took the money offered and ran away! He didn't say stuff you Rugby Australia, this is a matter of principle and no amount of money will stop me from proving my point, I want to see it through 'till the end. The born-again hypocrite took the doe! He's a f****ng joke as are the morons and knuckdraggers that reckon it's alright to use religion to persecute and make people suffer based on a persons/organisations interpretation of a religious book or passage.

This is not the f****ng Dark Ages. Leviticus 19:28 says ”You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” God says so in order for "His" people to differentiate themselves from paganism. Going by this passage, Folau and everybody else who is tattooed are devil worshipers and they should be driven out, burnt at the stake, poisoned, assassinated, thrown into concentration camps and gassed to death.

Beheadings? Has he ever incited violence or encourage any type of illegal activity ?

Or did those pesky goalposts shift again?

Why can an atheist mock sky fairies but a Christian cant say that means youre off to Hell?

And if you dont believe in sky fairies why would you give even half a shit about Hell ?

The money is how principles get enforced, isn't it? He obviously wasn't going to play again, the next best thing is to make RA pay.

Say what you like about Bill, at least he didn’t get bent over by the Qantas CEO, leading to a virtually insolvent RA having to write out a cheque for $5 million.

Pardon the pun.

Disappointed in Izzy tbh, if he was so moved by his faith and how he was persecuted, he should've taken it to court, win and set a precedent for the other religious folks

Instead he listened to his devil, took the money and ran with his greed.

Very sad, thought he was better than that
Cooldude, one of the things that has been so sickening about Folau and Morrison is that otherwise good people, have been duped into believing that those two are representative of mainstream Christianity. In fact, they are far removed from say, what Pope Francis says or the top fellows from other mainstream Christian denominations. Where other Christian denominations call for charity, Pentecostals have the "prosperity gospels", where other denominations preach that to be good and kind, to giving and be honourable gives you hope to get to heaven, Pentecostals treat anyone who is not born-again with contempt and ripe for the picking because non-born-agains, regardless of how much of a virtuous and honourable life they've led, will burn in hell for eternity. That's not Christianity, that's Supremacist bullshit.

People must understand the likes of Folau and our Prime Minister and look deeper into what they actually do believe in. They believe they are living in the "end times" so things like principles, concern for future generations just does not figure in their thinking. I really do hope that people will now see Foalu for who and what he really is and that before good people throw their support behind those who claim to be "Christians" and are fighting for the cause for Christianity, take the time to find out about just what they actually believe in.

True Christians don't say, nor believe, that those who are poor, who are doing it tough and find it nearly impossible to make ends meet, eg pensioners, students, unemployed, homeless, working poor; real Christians don't say nor believe that they are where they are because God is punishing them: Folau and Morrison do though.

Saying that homosexuals are evil and abominable, will burn in hell and that the bushfires are happening because of the abortion laws is mana from heaven for those morons and rednecks to go out and make peoples lives absolutely miserable, to cause enormous grief and anxiety.

I wonder how long before we see the grotesque scenes of pro-lifers blowing up abortion clinics in the name of life, as happens in the US. Don't think for one moment that this couldn't happen in Australia and these things happen when hatred for others based on the colour of their skin, religion, sexual orientation, lifestyle reaches fever pitch and the mentally unstable snap.

The Royal Commission into the Victoria's mental health system said that that LGBTI young people between the ages of 16 and 27 are five times more likely to attempt suicide, transgender people over 18 are nearly 11 times more likely and people with an intersex variation over 16 are nearly six times more likely.

There are consequences when people persecute others. As I said, if a moronic fool says that Christians are evil and should be beheaded, is that OK under the principle of freedom of speech as espoused by religious organisations and Folau? What's the difference? One moron hijacks a religion and says Christians are evil so they should be beheaded and another moron hijacks a religion and says that LGBTI are an abomination, are subhuman and things that are going wrong on the earth is because of people like that and that they will burn in hell; what's the difference. The Supremacist who says Christians are evil and should be beheaded and then imbeciles go and do just that and the Supremacist who says homosexuals are evil and are an abomination and imbeciles go and persecute and subject homosexuals to mental and even physical terror causing them to commit suicide, what's the difference and is this a fair price to pay for "freedom of speech"?

I am an ashiest but my whole family, direct and extended are Christians, some of my best friends are Muslims and Jewish and I would be horrified and would be the first to stand up for any of them if they were vilified and persecuted for their religious beliefs. I don't have a problem with people practicing their religions so long as the practices conform with Australian Law and in our Constitution, Religious freedoms are guaranteed! What I and they object to, are people hijacking their religion and using it to hurt and persecute others.

I'm sorry, you seem to have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Folau said that he was being discriminated against because of his religious beliefs and that he was going to take Rugby Australia to court to show that he was discriminated against on the basis of those beliefs. The Christian Lobby, or whatever they call themselves, many in the media and the Government as well as people in the community stood shoulder to shoulder with Folau stating that he had a right to say whatever he wanted too because that was his belief. All of these people, I would suggest, saw this as a fight between freedom of religious expression and those who sought to shut him up. Well Israel said bugger you lot, who gives a shit about principles, I'll take the doe thanks. Are you suggesting that because he settled out of court for a sum of money that somehow he won the fight for religious freedom/freedom of speech? Nah, he just wanted the doe. That's why he went from, League to Australian Rules and then to Union, he's in it for the doe. He was confronted with go to court and fight for your principles or take the doe and bugger principles. He chose the doe and the only thing it enforced was what a hypocrite he is.

She has been out of her depth since day 1.

Problem is if she gets the bullet, the same ‘woke’ voices that created this circus will circle away from attacking Folau, and instead double back and now launch fire on RA, for daring to fire a women, toxic masculinity culture etc etc. Even though it was that ‘women’ bending over to the rainbow Irishman that caused all this.

This is why you don’t play into identity politics.

Eventually it comes for everybody.

Basically what I was saying in another thread. The left eats itself.

Raelene is largely immune...she is female, obese, mixed race, has a physical ‘issue’ with the alopetia etc.

Intersectional points in bank.

Would be a while til the left came for her.

Qantas are more than happy to do business with Middle Eastern countries where being gay is illegal, so this is clearly personal, not a company decision.

And the Board cant dump him over this either.

That’s because Alan Joyce is just another cowardly, hypocritical turd, who like so many on the left is happy to take a stand against homophobia and bigotry, unless it’s Muslim’s or a Middle Eastern nation spewing the hate, in which case, you won’t hear a ****ing peep out of him.

They're a minority in Australia. They're not really a concern atm, unlike Jesus botherers. And why wouldn't Joyce take a stand against homophobia being a gay man. He's allowed his rights as a gay man as much as you're allowed your rights, speaking of turds.

He chose.to make a stand against a guy blabbering on about crap on Twitter.

Not over countries which imprison or execute gay people.

Yeah you know. The world's like that. Things closer to home get noticed a lot more. Like how earthquakes overseas barely rate a mention but ones in Australia, like Newcastle, are all over the news.

Surely Raelene Castle’s job is untenable at this point?

Surely.

I'm not sure why she got into sport administration after her TV career? I thought she was quite good in the Munsters but sadly I don't think they'll bring that series back anytime soon....

Yeah bullshit, it’s not just that and you know it.

The left is just too scared to call out, or be publicly critical of Islam, plain and simple.

Whereas they never miss an opportunity to attack Christianity and Christian’s when it presents itself.

The left should just own it. It’s not like anyone from our side, is going to ask them what they are so afraid of.

Bottom line, both religions are theocratically capable of bigotry, but we all know which one‘s followers are more liable to blow your planes out of the sky, or storm your boardroom and execute everyone in the room, Charlie Hebdo style.
