Just on Lynchy....I have no problem him being on the Board if he is vocal when needs to be, and puts the interests of the club first and foremost .... I wouldn't want him there if he just goes along with the common opinion like he does when commentating. He comes across as doesn't like to be seen sticking up for us on many occasions, and that really infuriates me tbh..

I want someone who will stand and fight for our club. Not sure Lynchy is it atm..

It's very possible to wear two hats. I'd actually be embarrassed for him if he was on our board and then suddenly was unable to be objective about us in a media capacity. Dunstall gives the Hawks a clip when they do silly things on the field, hell, even Eddie can do it with the Pies. I think supporters are able to understand that commenting on a match at hand doesn't really clash with the day to day responsibilities of a board member. A shanked kick is a shanked kick and selfishly burning a teammate in the goalsquare likewise, and both can be universally described as such.

Lethal pouring water on our priority pick application a few years ago was a different scenario though. That was an official decision made by the board as a whole and he really should have refrained from comment if he couldn't publicly support it. I don't think Lynchy would be that tone deaf.

What a difference Matthews, Fagan, Noble & Swan have made with their media appearances...honest personal opinions from all and has been refreshing ....Lynchy is a seasoned veteran of the media and would be a good fit on our board .. I have no problem with him having the same beliefs as common opinion.

Pretty sure if Lynchy is taking on a position on the board....then he would be doing what is right for the club..Having said that, I'm not sure he would take the position to be a company yes man...Judging from the way he handled the Fevola fall out, Lynchy strikes me as the sort of bloke that would voice his personal opinion in robust at board level and be silent in public..He's not a preacher type!
