Cristiano Ronaldo marked his return to Old Trafford with a win as his Juventus side outclassed Manchester United to move five points clear at the top of Champions League Group H.
The former United star helped to set up Juve's winner in the 17th minute, with his cross reaching Paulo Dybala who finished from close range.
The Italian champions had several chances to extend their lead during a first half where they were completely dominant, managing 10 shots to United's one and enjoying 70% of possession.
United improved after the break but only had one serious effort at goal, when Paul Pogba let fly from the edge of the area but saw his shot rebound off the post.

Highlights of Man U vs Juventus .

Its no surprise that Real Madrids fortunes have nose dived since Ronaldo left . He was virtually a one man show over the last couple of seasons imo.

Mohamed Salah scored twice to reach a half-century of Liverpool goals in a comfortable victory over Red Star Belgrade, as the Reds went top of Champions League Group C.
It was a dominant display from the hosts, Roberto Firmino firing in Andy Robertson's cut-back on 20 minutes.
Salah got his first just before the break then added a second to reach an impressive landmark by converting a penalty won by Sadio Mane.
Mane then slotted a fourth goal with 10 minutes to go, having missed another penalty just moments before.
Goalscorers aside, Xherdan Shaqiri proved influential for the hosts - an excellent through ball to Robertson helped set up Firmino's opener and it was the Swiss player's flick that then assisted Salah's first goal.
Firmino, one of five players back in the starting line-up after a depleted Reds side narrowly beat Huddersfield in the league on Saturday, marked his return with his 13th goal in 18 Champions League appearances for the club and his 10th in eight games at Anfield.
Mane was also bright - he linked up well with Salah on numerous occasions and earned his side's first penalty when he got an arm in the face from Red Star captain Filip Stojkovic.
He made up for missing the second penalty - won when El Fardou Ben handled in the area - by sliding in to poke into the bottom corner to make it 4-0, before substitute Adam Lallana was denied a fifth from close range.

Some breaking news - former England manager Glenn Hoddle has been taken to hospital after falling ill shortly after appearing as a pundit on BT Sport this morning.

The broadcaster has cancelled their goals show as a result.

Presenter Mark Pougatch said that Hoddle is receiving the best possible care.

Hope Glenn recovers soon .

The Leicester City owner's helicopter has crashed in a car park outside the club's ground, shortly after taking off following a match.
It is not known if Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter at the time.
Leicester City had been playing West Ham United in the Premier League at their King Power stadium.

No word yet on the owner but the Leicester City officals were seen in tears so it doesnt sound good . Probably waiting on police to notify relatives i guess .

Update - As seen from the footage here the owner was on board and there were no survivors. Sad news .

“Same old same old” for us Evertonians at Old Trafford

:)

Man we needed that win!....We were pretty good for the most part, yet nowhere near where we
want to be. Still too many lapses for mine and puzzled how/why he keeps picking Smalling!
Martial is working into some nice form and his goal was lovely.
Everton themselves always looked dangerous and Pogba's showboating helped them back into
the game that made for United's typical Squeaky Bum time!

Overall an improved, more committed and attacking performance from United but to me their is a
serious leadership problem on the pitch and too many players still playing individual and at times
reckless football! Throw in the fact that between the Manager and our 4 biggest players
Pogba/De Gea/Lukaku and Sanchez their still appears to be a divide! And all of them have huge clouds over their future at
the club!

This s**t needs to get sorted pronto, otherwise the club is in danger of becoming the
Liverpool of the last 25 yrs!

Here is the highlights of Barcelona’s big win against Real Madrid , 5-1 .
Im only putting this up to say are these the worst commentators in world football ? I think they are from ESPN in America. They scream like little kids like they have just seen the best goal ever seen when its just a simple header . Ive heard them before and they annoy the hell out of me .

Sad video of the Leicester helicopter crash that claimed the life of all on board . There was talk yesterday that the pilot was a hero for guiding the helicopter away from people when it crashed but as you see from this video he had no control over it and it went down so fast he wouldnt have had time to try guide it anywhere .

Wooohoooo
Big Big win!....Finally showed our quality
and terrific resilience and spirit against a very good Bournemouth side!
Once again, we wait to go behind and made to look like amateurs in the 1st 30 mins

But the response and the managers tactical nous came to fore when it mattered.

In spite of some low confidence players. we got to see a terrific spirit and attitude
by all in the 2nd half to secure this much needed win! Jose has to take some credit
for whatever he must have spewed out to them at Half time but the 2nd half was the United of old!
And in Fergie time no less!........:D
