4 out of 8, pathetic. Gut feel:-

Adelaide - and hopefully by plenty. Dons have no ruckmen and our midfield superior, just contain supply to Lloyd and Hird
Collingwood - Freo are still to prove they can travel. Should be a beauty though
Nightmare game - Richmond - due for a win, can't keep losing
West Coast - if its fine, 10 goals plus
Sydney - surprise packet of the year, Sainters = hopeless
Brisbane - can still sniff top place plus only 1 Victorian side has won interstate (and that was you know who!!!)
Melbourne - I think the Roo slide might commence and Dees have a reasonable midfield plus Neitz
Power - Doggies ouch, they will slam them

I ended up with 5 out of 8 (Ess, Adel, Coll, Syd & Melb).

I was quite happy to tip Brisbane and Port wrongly. :D (both in close games too)

As for tipping the Bulldogs... that was just stupidity. :(

Here are my early tips for next week:

ADELAIDE to beat Essendon (I sound like a broken record but this is a danger game. Essendon are a decent side but we should win)
COLLINGWOOD to beat Fremantle (50-50, I'll go with the home team)
RICHMOND to beat Geelong (50-50 but I think tigers are due for a win. Telstra Dome should suit talls of Richmond)
SYDNEY to beat St Kilda (I can't pick against Sydney at SCG)
WEST COAST to beat Carlton (Very confident)
BRISBANE to beat Hawthorn (Lions won't lose 2 in a row and + they play on GABBA. Subiaco factor a worry)
KANGAROOS to beat Melbourne (confident)
PORT ADELAIDE to beat Western Bulldogs (Very confident)

Ended up with 6/8, my losers being Brisbane and Port, which as the others have pointed out work in our favour.

Early tips for the next round are:

ADELAIDE to beat Essendon (confident - we'll kill them)
COLLINGWOOD to beat Fremantle (confident)
RICHMOND to beat Geelong (50-50 but Telstra Dome suits Richmond's talls)
SYDNEY to beat St Kilda (very confident)
WEST COAST to beat Carlton (very confident)
BRISBANE to beat Hawthorn (very confident)
KANGAROOS to beat Melbourne (60-40)
PORT ADELAIDE to beat Western Bulldogs (very confident)

On paper looks one of the easier rounds to pick, but history shows there's no such animal!! ;)

6/8 for me too, which really you've got to be happy with in such a close round.

I'd agree with your tips at this stage macca23. Some doubt over Richmond and Kangaroos though and Hawthorn may not be a bad roughie chance especially if Spider reappears.

I've done it again!!! Ended up with 7/8 at work after carelessly writing Freo instead of Brisbane when I did them in a hurry. Second time this year I've done that.

I think I must have been kissed on the c*ck by a fairy!! :D

Takes my tally for the year to 81.

I'm sticking with the above as my final tips. Go Crows!!

Doesn't look too difficult a round but bound to be an upset or 2.

Adelaide
Collingwood
Richmond
West Coast
Sydney-might just be the upset though
Brisbane
Kangaroos
Paps

Wasn't a difficult round to get 7 or 8 (7 myself) but a couple of games went down to the wire whilst some others were shelllackings. This week:-

Collingwood - Richmond have lost more players and playing without hope
Sydney - Carlton are shocking and even at Optus will still go for the Swans plus they are coming back from Perth and no they won't be the first
Hawthorn - but because of the Brisbane factor do give the Dees a chance
Brisbane - Essendon will lose a couple of players and Brisbane wants top 4
West Coast - yes the Power seem to be struggling, not sure why but this should be a beauty. Coasters in a close one
Geelong - showing some form but Bullies will keep them honest
Adelaide - I know we can do it on the open spaces of Subiaco and we will be the first in the "House of Pain"
Kangaroos - this side knows how to win close ones but can see them getting smashed come finals time. Thomas can't coach but Saints are still a chance

Same here kirky, got what should be the standard 7. Really annoyed with myself that I picked Richmond in the one I missed after they had losr 6 in a row.

It's a lot trickier round this week.

Early tips are

COLLINGWOOD to beat Richmond (confident)
SYDNEY to beat Carlton (confident)
HAWTHORN to beat Melbourne (70-30)
BRISBANE to beat Essendon(70-30)
PORT ADELAIDE to beat West Coast (50-50)
GEELONG to beat Bulldogs(60-40)
KANGAROOS to beat St Kilda (confident)
ADELAIDE to beat Fremantle(confident)

As for the Subiaco factor that disappeared this weekend with Brisbane winning after being beaten in Subi by West Cost last week.

Adelaide will take that one step further this week by winning in Subi and then winning the week after. :)
