Reckon we had a better team in 85 and we won sod all for 7 years after that.

My point? I for one AM enjoying it while it lasts - I personally don't think I will ever see us win 24/25 again... just too hard in a 16 team comp with a salary cap - no matter how well we are run, coached & supported.

That said I will be gutted if we don't go back to back with the players we've got at their peak and those waiting in the wings... particularly Henneman, Hille, Rioli, Jacobs & McGrath....

Mate, I'm 31. So the first 6 years I supported us we were either terrible or getting beaten by a kick in elimination finals - so I know a bit about supporting a team when their down.

Also, of all those "teenage" bomber supporters, they're the same ones who've had to endure cruel 1 point losses to Brisbane, Sydney and Carlscum when we've threatened the most for flags and some would have had to endure the comedy of errors that was the arrangement for the 1990 finals series... I still remember kicking your arse at Waverly in the rain that August - but hats off! you did peak at the right time (ala Adelaide 97-98). So up until Sept 2 they'd known only one truely great day in 15 years... much like your teenagers...

As to the macho bull shit behaviour... get your hand off it...

Thank you, LBQ484GF=GOD. Those *teenage supporters* have had to endure those cruel 1 point losses. I am one of those teenagers and was absolutely devastated to see us lose to Carlton last year. I remember 97 and 98 clearly. I may only be 14 but I support Essendon with a huge passion and will continue to do so forever more.
And to the people who say "Essendon fans are just teenyboppers" get a life. Take a long walk on a short pier. I'm no teenybopper. And I know plenty of teens who support other clubs...don't see you saying the same about them. And who says us teenage fans have just jumped on. All those lifelong supporters were teenage supporters too, you idiots!
