In some spare time last year, I had a few thoughts on how the Crows home, away, and clash guernseys could look with an update. Thought I'd post some of them here for y'all to view (they're not listed in any particular order).

great effort... i really would love to see us have an away strip that is yellow. ala our heritage from 05. so that top right one isnt bad at all!

our current away strip isnt too dissimilar from our traditional and i'd take anything to get rid of our bloody red losing clash crap.

also the names on the guernseys... surely wont be long before we see that on everyone.

Any sort of colour fading and photoshop effects do not belong on any guernsey in the AFL but some great examples there such as the first white one! nice work! Dont mind the 2 directly below that first white one either :thumbsu:

The predominantly yellow/gold Welsh and Radar efforts are the ones most suitable.

As lincsPJ said, a gold clash strip is a must - looked awesome in 05 heritage round.

Excellent work.Personally i really like #28,it is predominately white with the very distinguishable tri colours there for all to see.Forward these onto the club.

No. 20 looks good - some great efforts there!

Would like to see some more designs, rather than the same design with different colour styles.

Why not something completely different - vertical stripes instead of horizontal?

Why not a sash like Richmond and Essendon? Instead of the gold sash (richmond), red sash (essendon) - we could have a BLUE sash, with yellow in the top corner, and red in the bottom corner??????

I don't mind the white background as an alternative strip

Me either; especially the top left design....Its brilliant

Ive never been a fan of the FRONT of the red strip we wore on the weekend...It looks like a kids painting!

As for the socks:rolleyes: only Port Powers are worse.

Definitely some excellent efforts there. The way you have used the wings is brilliant. The use of white was incorporated well. A lot better than the current clash strip.

My favourites would be the #20, #17 #2. And not just cos of Meesen. They are just more simple and work better because of it. You have remember they are seen from a distance. The names on the back and number on the front is pretty American, but not in a bad way IMO.

Id like to see a jumper which is mainly blue with a red and yellow logo. Like this

Cheers guys :thumbsu:

You might feel differently about this, however I think a lot of the AFL clubs could approach their guernseys differently, after all this is now the 21st century.

We're starting to see some clubs re-invent their playing strips (Brisbane, Carlton, St Kilda, Freo), and grab hold of a great marketing opportunity.

Look around the world and you'll see that a lot of teams often give their playing strips a make over (have a peek next door at the NRL), yet in the AFL, tradition seems to have a strong hold on how most clubs go about this part of their business.

Some of the attempts at clash guernseys for example seem to be half hearted efforts IMO (ie Essendon, Collingwood) - what a wasted opportunity.

Don't get me wrong, tradition is a very important, however I'd love to see the AFC set the pace in this area and show the others how it's done with fresh guernseys.

Then we'd get to look really schmick even when we lose! :D

The current home guernsey works OK IMO, though I can't wait till we get a 'new' home guernsey so we can then wear the current one as a genuine heritage round guernsey.

I think the boys would look great playing away in white or yellow, which is where the inspiration came from for this exercise. During the process, I realised that a number of designs worked better in red or navy, hence the majority of the other designs.

I've also got ideas for some of the other clubs, but how much spare time does a 'Phat Sherrin' have?

Not quite enough at the mo! :)

the numbers and overall concept should be used as the new design for all jumpers. a very conceptual design that would propel the games look into the future.
but then again we've said that before havent we? (Waverley)
