Some people have suggested that daily threads for these Tests might be a good idea and a bit easier to follow than one whole thread for the Tests. What would you guys prefer?
For home Tests and away Ashes (basically anything on FTA) the daily ones might make sense but whole match works OK. For others, there aren't enough posts to make it worthwhile.
one per test. just remove the "who's in who's out" discussion after/before each day into a "squad" thread, imho as it's usually just irrelevant chatter.
the only issue with daily threads is ensuring the previous days thread gets locked, so we don't have 2 days running at the same time. 1 per Test is fine as long as the forum can cope.
One thread per Test is better for the regulars, but one thread per day is better for people who drop in casually.
Mega-threads with hundreds of pages are quite daunting for someone who is not constantly checking the thread to get involved in. It also makes it pretty difficult for someone to locate a specific talking-point (e.g. if I get home at the end of the day and want to read what people had to say about something that happened in the first session).
Daily threads are a lot more work for the mods though, and only effective if the new threads are being started and stickied in a timely manner.
