Good luck to ML. But remember he’ll be playing against the number 1 test team on a spinning deck...so I’d be totally surprised if he does any better than the “pitiful” Handscomb and Finch. Let’s face it, the Aussie batting lineup are shite no matter who you put in these days.

Labuschagne shouldn't be judged on how he performs in one Test. He needs a block of Test matches as was provided to Finch and Handscomb. The one thing he has over both of those two is that he has a sound technique which needs to be backed in given the parlous state of Australian batting.
Posters that call for the inclusion of Burns and Wade, well you would have to question if they know much about batting. A bloke that swipes across the line as his main scoring shot and the other that waves a horizontal bat at nothing deliveries outside the off-stump are not going to succeed at Test cricket; and in fact are worse options than Finch and Handscomb.

We’re gonna have two players walking back into the top 6 in a couple of months.
This obsession with an all rounder is doin my head in.
We need someone solid at 6 for the second new ball not a bits and peices guy whose got potential.
A few blokes who’ve made a name for themselves at 6
Mike Hussey
Ricky Ponting
Allan Border
It’s interesting watching Australian fans eat their own when the chips are down. Selections have been fickle for years, but it was papered over by a couple of world class batsmen. But booing our own players, calling for a coach’s head after five Tests, this has a real ring of ‘90s England to it.
Not booing? The booing wasn't great, but what do you expect when you pick a bloke averaging 25 to bat in the top 6.
Not booing?
The two aren't even related. Australians booing an Australian v English booing Smith. How will you all react when Smith gets the reception he deserves in England?
It’s also the first real opportunity to vent a bit after a few dickhead moves... they brought the game into disrepute but they alsoIt’s interesting watching Australian fans eat their own when the chips are down. Was interesting listening to Peter Lalor on TGC. Stated he had information that Hilton Cartwright was only picked in the test side a couple of years ago to 'Give Mitch a kick up the backside' and they had always planned to go back to Mitch regardless of how well Cartwright did.
So basically screwing with someones career to motivate someone they were desperate to succeed.
Carl Hooper?Arguably the 2 best sides ever (1980-95 Windies and 1995-08 Aussies) didn't need an all rounder, unless the all rounder can be in the side for one thing specifically he shouldn't be there. As you end up weakening your batting without really strengthening the bowling.
