Fourth Test team

Agreed. Of course not taking a personal view, just what I think they will do.

I mean personally I'd play both Handscomb and Laubaushghe, with Finch going out. Khawaja can open.

True. Then two months after that, he top-scored.

Yet most of the people calling for Bancroft want to drop players who are playing their first series and in Harris case, whilst not setting the world on fire is getting starts and outperforming most other batsman

You can’t give players 30 tests doing nothing, but it’d be nice to see players get more than 2 tests at a time

Funny thing is, if you select Marnus, you almost have to select Handscomb as they’re saying it’s a spinning pitch and he is the best player of spin in Australia

Reckon if you did bring Bancroft in, it’d be for Finch, not Harris.

Honestly feel that Bancroft/Harris would be a strong opening combination, as they compliment each other, both turn over the strike well and are good between the wickets, but have no idea how they went as a partnership for WA.

I'd be happy with that

Where does this come from? I keep hearing this and have seen no evidence of it. Handscomb also had a full tour of India and the UAE - he never pulled up any trees over there.

Not great but both were young and struggling. Harris, in particular, is a different player.

He's one of the few that doesn't have cement feet, and he actually uses his feet. Handscomb's issues for mine is against pace and especially swing bowling.

Never played in UAE, was 3rd best batsman in India behind Smith and Renshaw had more runs but same average, 2nd best batsman behind Warner in Bangladesh.

Wouldn’t mind seeing that, but will they resist bringing back Davey? Can’t see Bancroft getting back for Sri Lanka having not played anything but a couple of big bash games in 10 months so it’s realistically the Ashes

I don’t like the Marnus Labuschagne selection. I think he is a good prospect. Averaged close to 40 the last two seasons, good fielder, bowls handy part time spin. If we had Smith and Warner playing I think he’d make a lot of sense to come in. He’d come in at 4/200 more times than not and he’d be able to eased into the team a bit.

I don’t think it’s the correct move with the current setup. He’s probably not in the stage of his development where you can back him to make a decent score under pressure and bringing him in to bat at 4 or 5 seems like we’re throwing him into the deep end too early. It would’ve made a lot more sense to bring in guys like Maxwell or Burns who are in the stage of their development where they understand their own game more and even if they have a bleaker long term future in the team they would be more likely to be able to perform straight away.

I’m guessing Labuschagne for Finch will be the only change for the test. There’s no way you could trust Handscomb to make runs and can’t see him returning.

Harris, Khawaja, S.Marsh, Head, Labuschagne, M.Marsh, Paine, Cummins, Starc, Lyon, Hazlewood.

That’s an awful batting lineup. An inconsistent Khawaja leading the team, a super inconsistent and constantly out of form Shaun Marsh, three kids in their test infancy and whatever the hell Mitch Marsh is.

People calling for Bancroft to come straight back in need to have a rest for a while. It ain't happening.

Marnus is so shit...there is no real other way of illustrating nor discussing it.

The Australian selectors and the brown nosed gnome have now stated that Marnus is better than Maxwell.........

Burns is not getting a go anytime soon. He was caught by Boof in the Hobart test dogging a few times at the ground. The first time, Boof stated he shouldnt do it again. Then the next time.....

And there we have it. The major scoop.

Dogging?

Our top 6 have helped his reputation no end, unless I' mistaken he bowls the same straight as an arrow shit that M Marsh bowls.

Bumrah bowls shit does he?

Let’s not be ridiculous and compare the bowling abilities of Bumrah and MMarsh.
