With the success of the "CountDown" thread and the trivia thrown around there I thought this may work well.

Ill start it off by posting the first question, the first person to get it right then posts the next question and so on etc.

Which freo player(s) have received a rising star nomination only to be later delisted by freo:

Anways onto the question. Is it delisted or delisted and traded? My answers for straight up delisted: Greg Harding & Dion Woods are the only ones that I can think of at the top of my head. I know Clem Michael didn't get one. Luke Toia retired, not delisted. All the rest I can think of were traded.

I'm not sure if it's fair to the others if I play
;)

Rising Star Nominees still on list
Shaun McManus
Paul Hasleby
Matthew Pavlich
Paul Medhurst
Graham Polak
Byron Schammer
Aaron Sandilands
David Mundy

Rising Star Nominees traded away (full details not given, just the approx end results)
Kingsley Hunter traded in 1998 for Wira
Craig Callaghan (nominated twice) traded in 2000 for Matt Carr
Jess Sinclair traded in 2000 for Bell
Greg Harding traded in 2000 for Metro and Woods
Daniel Bandy traded in 2001 for Simmonds
Heath Black traded in 2001 for Farmer
Leigh Brown traded in 2002 for Schammer
Adam McPhee traded in 2002 for Headland

Rising Star Nominees Retired
Luke Toia

So to answer your question...

Rising Star Nominees delisted
Dion Woods
Andrew Shipp

Its delisted as stated in the topic.

Thankyouverymuch... hmmm cheeseburgers.

My Question.
Which Maggot has umpired us in more league (not inc pre-season/Wiz cup etc) games than any other multi-coloured fool.

That Head character has had a freehold on us for the last little while but I'll go for Carey or Doran.

Wrong Head - only 14 times, not the guy who took the mark (only 10 times) and isn't Doran either a commentator or the Qld paceman destroying the Warriors. Gavin Dore, on the other hand only crucified us 8 times.

This guy's seen the purple (or the red & white etc) 28 times, 13 times in Perth, 15 times away. We've won 9 times with him, with 2 close wins and 2 close losses (less than a goal).

Seems like no one likes the umps. It's Steve McBurney.

So lets go obscure players.

If you had a BBQ and invited every player who's ever been on our list (senior or rookie, drafted and delisted gameless or 100 game player)... how many players would be there, and who'd be the oldest and youngest there?

McBurney! Of course!

There would be 140-odd blokes at the barbie but not all of them, unfortunately, were players.

No-one's got the old fogey yet (Edwards the oldest mentioned so far, but only 6th on our list), you're all too low on the catering... but well done IP... Gibbo is the youngest.

A hint for the oldest... he'll become the first ex Freo-player to reach the big 4-0 in May this year.
