Best 22 would look something like this...

B Hayden Grover Dodd
HB Black McPharlin Johnson
C Peake Hasleby Gilmore
HF Mundy Tarrant Headland
F Farmer Pavlich Crowley

R Sandilands Bell J.Carr

I Warnock Solomon Schammer O'Brien*

Without blaming injuries, suspensions and stupidity the biggest problem we had this year was a lack of improvement in our middle tier players. Murphy, Mundy, Johnson, Sandilands, Peake, Crowley etc didn't really take it to the next level like most would've expected. If Fremantle was going to better our 2006 efforts it was those guys who needed to step up, and it just didn't happen.

Consistency is the other big one, but without turning this into a coaching debate that's all i'm going to say...

*You're only as good as your last game ;)

Little known fact -

Brock was not named in our round 22 clash - however at the selction meeting he simply walked up grabbed the whiteboard marker and wrote down his own name.

No one said anything.

Now he got away with that he will do it every week.

hey guys and girls just wanting 2 know who, if all fit would be in your best 22

thanks for help

Unfortunately murph, the best 22 players in Freo can also be the worst 22 in Freo at any given time depending on many (unknown:cool:) factors.......

As a Freo member for 12 yrs now, I'm use to the yo yo factor by now though

Grover should never be a full back.

I think he would be fine there!! What are your reasons for that comment TP?

For mine is a third tall option, at best. Too small.

Macpharlin at Full Back, Johnson to take some responisibilty and hold down CHB and Grover to cover the third tall.

Why? He isnt that tall, not known to many on hear, he has short arms.

Should be the Harley of our side next year.

Right.

So Scarlett, Fletcher, Rutten and Glass werent in the mix.
Did i say that, he had been as good as most of them but he was more consistent but his good games wernt as good as theirs. He only got beaten 3 times this season, twise against lloyd and once against Gehrig but wasn't he injured in the last saints game copped a knock the head or something?

Two of the purest Full Fowards who exposed his weaknesses. These things get noticed.

Rocca kicked a bag of 5 on him too.

B Hayden Mcpharlin Thornton
HB Black Johnson Grover
C Peake Hasleby Mundy
HF Solomon Tarrant Headland
F Farmer Pavlich Drum

Ruck : Sandilands, Carr Foster

IC : Obrien, Warnock, Gilmore, Ibbotson

For what it's worth.

B: Hayden Grover Thornton
HB: Mundy McPharlin Dodd
C: Black Headland Johnson
HF: Gilmore Pavlich Peake
F: Farmer Tarrant Campbell
R: Sandi JCarr Solomon
INT: Warnock Schammer Crowley Foster

This is taking into account that Bell will be retired and we dont trade. Haselby has been left out because he will really need to prove himself and be fit to make the best 22 under Harvey.

If Murph stays, him, Campbell and Tarrant should be putting pressure on each other to perfom. 3 players 2 spots.

Obrien, Drum, Duffield etc will all be future best 22 but should be made to work hard to earn those spots, and be rewarded if senior players fail to deliver. MCarr will be used as MrFixIt.

I would say that side is spot on and a preseason under Harvey should get us into the top 6 in 2008.
