Just thought i'd throw in an interesting trivia question. What is the most the Eagles have ever been down by at half time, and then come back to win the game? Extra brownie points for anyone who can tell me the game.

I win I win,

You owe me Chris Judd and a ruckmen of your choice (we collect those, they don't even have to be good).

Hmm, you can have Chris Judd, but only for a night. And he has to be returned in good working order, in his original packaging, with all of his accessories attached.
As for the ruckman, fine no worries, Greg Harding is coming your way.

nah.. it's not as big as I thought it would be.

what about comebacks after 1/4 or 3/4 time deficits, do you have any stats for those ?

I remember that strange game against the Bullies when they kicked 8 to nil goals in the 1st, then we came back and led at half and then went on to win the game by about 13 p'ts if I remember rightly.

Our best first quarter come back is- 48pts, and you were spot on about everything.
West Coast____ 0.4 8.6 13.12 16.17 113
Western Bulldogs 8.4 8.5 12.7 15.10 100
W.A.C.A. 1998

Our best final quarter come back-down by 33pts against Richmond, in 1987, wonby 14 pts.
West Coast 3.5 8.8 11.9 20.13 133
Richmond 5.7 8.12 15.18 16.23 119
Subiaco 1987

However, and I found this rather astonishing, in the last 5 years
we have only had one comeback from being down by more than 15pts at 3 quarter time. (the collingwood game this season came very close to beating this record). Thus, if we're down by twenty points at 3, the game has been as good as over, for the last 5 years.
West Coast 4.4 8.6 11.9 14.15 99
Essendon 4.1 5.4 14.8 14.9 93
Subiaco 1996

Thanks guys,

That was interesting to find that we haven't been the greatest at comebacks in the last five years. Though it's not suprising, I know there's been a number of times when we have come within a kick.
