djharps said:johns... i dunno if he is just an unlucky kid.. im sure he would provide a great option but can everyone bite there lip over how much damage hed do infront the goals, provide big option etc... till he plays 5 afl game then we will no if he can cut it and what sort of impact he would have on the game
DaSawx said:When he got 5 on Anzac Day, a few of them were from good leads, maybe Lovett could do this.

Its strange that he was named a couple of weeks ago, didn't play, and hasn't been heard about since. Anyone have any news on the boy?
Longy413 said:Lovett did it against Fremantle at the Dome last year.
He had 5 shots at goal from memory in the 2nd half last week. As well as the slip and the set-up for the Watson goal. All while playing from FF.
Longy413 said:He broke a rib in the VFL a couple of weeks back, that's what kept him out of the Richmond game. Although I doubt he was ever going to play.
He's fit to play this week.

Glass is just about the best full back in the league at the moment.

Karlostj said:My concern with having a small forward line (ie Lovett in the forward 50) is that our midfielders are going to be under pressure kicking it forward (due to the excellent West coast midfield) and therefore a small forward is not going to get the pin point passes that they need to be effective... (especially given that our major ball winners don't have the best disposals either).
this problem will be compounded by Wirrapunda playing loose in defence. I have a feeling that this guy will have a field day this weekend.
At least if we play a tall, pack breaking player like Johns he will hopefully be able to bring the ball to ground and should be able to make more of a contest if the ball isn't delivered perfectly...
that is when Lovett will strike. Lucas isn't the pack breaking type really (averages 0.6 contested marks per week), he works better when he has room to more and can also give us long and quick delivery into the square.
Hille may be able to play that pack breaking role too, but he doesn't really have the closing speed to make enough contests.. Lets face it we miss Lloyd. Lloyd not only can take contested grabs but runs into packs and brings the ball to ground - he is very rarely out marked and that is a big bonus in a forward. Something that we just don't have at the moment.
The Bulldogs small forward line works well because they have excellent skills through their midfield, I don't think we can match them there....
is that a hint of sarcasm there i detect u couldn't possibly b serious as reynolds is a *******jonesy86 said:Dustin Fletcher should be given a shot at full forward, personally i think reynolds is doing a fine job at full back
