I think Hale should be given 6 weeks to show he can play.

Can't you see that we are still a 50-60 goal kicker short for a serious finals contender?
Dish should be our chf ,leave him there straightens us up big time .
I think Griffiths or Panos would solve the problem...in 5 years time![]()
Hale.
Surely people suggesting Edwards just plonks himself in the goalsquare realises that no modern day full back will just sit there with him. They will run off him and be damaging. They will realise Edwards' main weakness is his kicking over distance. So Edwards will end up having to follow them and be accountable, and the result is a whole lot of nothing gained.
I'm comfortable with putting Josh Smith upforward to just bring the ball to the ground, but I am wondering if we could maybe superglue two wheely bins together, one on top of the other, and we just instruct out mids to aim at it, with our crumbers around the base of the bins.
It'd be a cheaper option.

well yeah i thought it was pretty clear i was talking about 2009
if our midfield becomes competitive we will kick winning scores
with anthony, wells, ziebell and harvey hopefully playing more games in 2010 our midfield will improve a lot
in 2009 we were completely smashed in total possessions in the midfield and inside 50s
how many times did anyone in our midfield get 30 disposals or more?
harvey, anthony and swallow maybe did it a couple times each
if we can start breaking even in the inside 50s count we should beat teams more often than not but in 2009 we were not even competitive in this area for most games
our midfield was a disgrace for most of 2009 this is not even arguable

This. And the fact most modern day Full Backs are 190cm + and a hell of a lot stronger than Azza.
Name one FF at another club who just sits in the goalsquare and kicks goals from 10-20m out. It doesn't happen anymore, it is not 1993.i know mario has already addressed this and im not going to weigh in on edwards at FF
but it has got me absolutely baffled how passionate fans who watch games every week could actually think football works like this? you can not be serious?
We have the ball in the middle and opposition full backs will sprint up the ground in order to get Edwards out of range? That would be the ultimate in tactical stupidity.
The opposition full backs are only going to run up the ground when they have the football. Otherwise Edwards just sprints back to the goal scoring zone.
I understand what mario says, and I agree, they would only run off Edwards if they have the ball. And when they do that Edwards would have to follow. So what happens when we get the ball back? Edwards is 100m from goal because he had to follow the full back out.pretty much what mario said
if what you described in your post actually happened edwards would kick 200 goals a year
