Who is the better player? JUDD for mine. The man needs only one name, and how many premierships did Gary lift his side to? Garry choked on the big stage, with the exception of one 4th quarter where he kicked a bag of goals when the game was over.

He didn't kick his goals from the wing either. No more than Matthew Richardson has this year, anyway. He took lots of marks at half-forward and full-forward, before moving to FF permanently.

Judd is probabably playing almost as good football at the moment as Chance Bateman.

To compare him to Ablett SNR is a joke. If he gets back to his WCE form, holds it for 10 years he may have a small chance.

At best, a very good half-forward whose goalkicking stats got pumped up by being in an era where defences were all one on one.

Judd isn't a pimple on Ablett's arse. In fact, Judd would be honoured to even be compared with Ablett. I guarantee you that if you asked him what he thinks of Ablett he'd tell you about how amazed he was growing up watching Ablett. Clearly you think that Judd is an all time great because he plays for Carlton and have no conception of history though.

Did you even see the game? How can you possibly say Ablett choked?
That game is rated by most as the best GF they've seen. Ablett's effort is THE reason this game was so exciting.

Judd is a great player but Ablett Sr is still the best player I've seen.

JUDD kicked 5 goals in a quarter from a true midfield position. Not half-forward or any of that B.S.

Unfortunately I don't think we will ever really get to compare these 2 as I believe Judd needed to play at the level he did for WCE for those couple of years for another 3 or 4 to be comparable. And his body doesnt seem to be able to hold up to that now.
By the way, Abletts body was shot by the time he got to the GF's in 92,94 & 95 at that point of the season. If Geelong had have made it in 93 (which was their best chance to win it b/n 92-95) he would have made up for it.

Haha you really have no idea do you? The other day you were claiming Gibbs is already better than Hodge, Cooney and others and now this. Judd's a great player, but Ablett was in another league altogether.
