Initially, I thought this poll was for Gary Jnr...and thought fair enough, both great players, tough call but right now Ablett (Jnr) just in front. Don't get me wrong, I believe Judd is a top line player.

But, when I read it closer and saw it was comparing Gary Snr with Judd, I knew it was a joke.

Good laugh for all of us, I agree its been a bit intense lately and its this sort of poll thats required every now and again to lighten everyone up.

Gary Snr is light years ahead...too hard to even consider trying to make a case for Judd against Gary Snr.

Yeah he kicked a lot of those in the final quarter when the game was over. When they needed him against West Coast and Carlton and West Coast again, he was nowhere to be seen. That wasn't just a one-off. He choked in 3 consecutive GFs. No WAY is he to be considered as good as JUDD.

At best, a very good half-forward whose goalkicking stats got pumped up by being in an era where defences were all one on one.

Have you lost your marbles mate. Judds first couple of years at West Coast were unbelievable. So far at the blues he has been average. Wait till the end of his career and then you could compare him to Ablett. Even then he won't get no where near him.

Hayden Bunton was a Fitzroy player of the 1930's. It's hard to compare players from that era of course, but his achievements are pretty amazing.

- 3 Brownlow medals
- Won Brownlows in his first two years in the VFL
- Also won 3 Sandover medals in the WAFL'
- Twice led Fitroys goalkicking as a midfielder
- Polled 122 Brownlow votes in only 119 games (the highest average votes per game of any player in history)
- Named in the AFL team of the century
- Captain Coach of Fitzroy and Subiaco
- 5 times Fitzroy best and fairest

With that list of achievements, it's fair to say he was proabably something of a freak of his era, in much the same way Ablett was of his.

He didn't kick his goals from the wing either. No more than Matthew Richardson has this year, anyway. He took lots of marks at half-forward and full-forward, before moving to FF permanently.
