It was reported on Channel 7 news tonight that Gary Ablett senior will be making a comeback and playing with Bunyip in a country league. Who knows? If he sets the league on fire we might re-draft him.

Great news...if true! I just wonder if he can play? A few years ago he had some pretty handsome surgery on his wrist to have something removed, a turmor or clot or something. Anyway, the way I read they (media) were saying his wrist will never really heal enough for him to play a competitive sport such as aussie rules and thats why he was playing abit of soccer instead? Hope he is back to full strength and playing football again. It would be great outlet for himself rather than other methods portrayed by the media! Go Gazza!

Who else could stop him? If i were Gazza and heard that Matty Spencer was coming to take me on, i'd run for the hills as you can rest assured that Matty Spencer will be the Captain of our next team of the century.

I'd recommend that Gary obtain a respected anti-inflamatory as his leg will be swelled right up when i finish with him (espicially if he snaps a left foot banana from the boundary line whilst surrounded by 6 backmen).

I played at Bunyip for 10 years from 94 to 03, from under 12's to 1st's.
I've played the last couple of years at Warragul (due to moving).

I was thinking of going back to Bunyip anyway this year, but that has made my decision much easier!! Playing with school mates and my childhood hero!! Can't wait!!
