Thank you, I know what strategy is.
I even know the difference between strategy and tactics.
And thank you for my daily dose of claptrap and meaningless gobbledegook.
The suggestion that this loss was part of some planned strategy is simply inane drivel.

No...thank you, i will know better next time. I have no intention of communicating with a complete and utter idiot such as yourself again. There are all kinds of stupid people that annoy me but what annoys me most is a lazy argument and you are one lazy thinker.

That's cute, coming from someone parroting tautological gibberish out of some elementary textbook without even the slightest idea of what it actually means, let alone the fact that it's completely irrelevant to the subject-matter; and you surely cannot be thick enough not to realise that you still haven't answered the question. Or maybe.....

Fred you're a lucky bastard

Trouble is, with his fumbling grasp of the English language, I'm not sure he means it.
It can be a bit of a problem with these English as a Second Language students, particularly those who've obviously come to the game very late in life.

That will keep me busy in the dictionary for an hour, thanks Fred.

Hey JackFlash
I can accept a "strategic loss" in Round 20 if we were undefeated with top spot locked away , but in Round 6 ?
Reckon we got done after a hard slog , 6 day break , a few out , shithouse kicking for goal, by a team out to prove something..................have to agree with FredLeDeux on this one.
Come out this week and go 6 : 1 into the Bye :thumbsu:

It could be that we're all guessing who our next star or stars are going to be. We pick a player early on and become emotionally invested in their development. Every game they get is personal validation of our own awesome judgement. Then our own personal biases kick in - that we all have - so we see what they do well (generally by trumpeting it with a "SEE! SEE! SEE!"), but ignore or don't register their mistakes.

Right now we've got a glut of players under 25 years of age, and especially under 50 games (30 games even moreso). The bad news is - they're not all going to make it. So we WILL be proven wrong. And no one likes to be proven wrong. I would guess (and it's a only a guess) that this would account for a fair degree of what you've described.

So thats why you are stubborn. You have emotional ties to favourites.

I dont really do that. I just back them all until they fail the team too often.

All the kids are my favourites and i want them all to get games.

I would never base selections or positions on a man crush. Its purely tactical. The best possible team has to be out there in the finals, anyone that argues differently by basing it on emotive choices and is serious about it is a nuffie.

Alternatively, anyone who think they know better than anyone else, is an absolute nuffie.

Or just an arrogant and insufferable moron.

Just speaking hypothetically, you understand, about a friend of mine.
What if he thinks he knows better than everyone else, but he's not absolutely certain?

I suspect some not only think they know better, they're absolutely certain and confident they do. And as Darwin said only too accurately - "ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge."
