Does footy park get sold out often?

I have a good friend in Adelaide and i want to go there next year to watch the cats.

Its a fri night game so id imagine it will be packed, what are the odds of it bneing sold out?

I think there's no doubt it will sell out the week of the match. Most, if not all, of our games are sell outs.

If you know anyone that is a member or season ticket holder with the Cats, but won't be going, is get them to buy tickets and you give them the money. That way its taken care of before you arrive in SA

My mate bought tickets for the prelim over here in 05 and mailed them over(he was a season ticket holder) and was about the only way i would have got tickets

It will likley be a Sell-Out however, one would assume general admission would be available the week preceding the game.

footy park doesnt get sold out as often as you guys are making out

it's only sold out 5 times in our last 24 home games, 08 vs Hawthorn, 08 vs (cant remember if it was Essendon or Geelong), 09 vs Port Adelaide, 09 vs Collingwood and the final this year against Essendon

but when they do sell out, it will be on the Adelaide website mid-week

was actually pretty excited to see this in the Crows 2010 fixture today as a good mate of mine is mad Geelong and rooting against them is always good, friday night football is supreme. pity one showdown is wasted on a sunday though.

Something doesn't add up here with me, same during this season.

I can remember back in the 05-06 season I believe the stadium sold out all home game bar one. Then this season I can recall someone telling me it only sold out a few times.

I just don't think it's true. For example, I went down to the ground to watch us play Carlton in round 9 this year and it was sold out at the ground (though I was able to purchase a "guest member's pass" for $30 concession and found a seat in the member's stand), yet later the game was reported as not being a sellout.

I think people are assuming that having less than a certain number of seats filled on gameday is not a sellout which simply isn't true.

OP - let's put it this way, if you want a ticket I suggest you get them in advance.

now that I think about it
I may be wrong
now ill re-word it to actually be correct
It has only sold out 5 times in the last 24 home games BEFORE matchday

It would be due to the class of SANFL membership that gives you access to both Crows and Port games? These would be often taken up by corporates who sometimes don't fully utilise all the seating they have purchased. Thus you can have a game sold out but not be at capacity.

yer its a bitch man when ever we come over to we family. Then deside to go watch the crows sold out.
