Bet it would be at Geel if Freo or Syd were the opponents. It’s typical AFL.

What makes a mockery of the competition is the fact that you have such a huge advantage playing on your narrow shit heap. You can strangle teams who are not used to its dimensions. You have a unique situation. Collingwood share their "home" ground with a number of other teams and you get to play there often. You haven't struggled there during the past 15 years have you?It will make a mockery of the competition if the clear competition leader is playing its home final in front of 75 thousand screaming pies fans at the ground the pies play 15 games at each season when the pies finished fourth.
we can not have a repeat of the ridiculous 2017 finals series.
surely the competition has moved beyond the amateurish of playing finals where crowds are highest at the expense of fairness. Other professional sports do not do this.
note the grand final is a little different because there are no home sides in a grand final and the crowds arent heavily biased to mcg tenants due to fans travelling and all the neutral fans. So please dont bring grand final arguments into this thread as its not equivalent.
play the game at either kardinia and if thats not possible (it is) then play at least docklands.
for the sake of the competition.
Yeah, because if the redevelopment had finished this game would definitely be at KP.Blame your own stupid club for redeveloping your cow paddock at such a crucial time.

Geelong only clear leader due to having a soft fixture. Only top 8 team they played twice was the Bulldogs and they were lucky to be top 8. Played both North and West Coast twice. The un-even fixtures make a mockery of the competition. It will make a mockery of the competition if the clear competition leader
Why don't you just play more games at the MCG each season, rather than so many games at Kardinia? It will make a mockery of the competition if the clear competition leader is playing its home final in front of 75 thousand screaming pies fans at the ground the pies play 15 games at each season when the pies finished fourth.

It's called home "state" advantage, not home ground advantage. It will make a mockery of the competition if the clear competition leader is playing its home final in front of 75 thousand screaming pies fans at the ground the pies play 15 games at each season when the pies finished fourth.

Lol we won a flag in Perth, Richmond won one in Brisbane, and every interstate team has to win in Melbourne.
Maybe you should play at a real ground more often

Happens in NRL finals all the time.
And such a ridiculous concept as home state advantage only harms two teams. Gold coast and geelong. It's called home "state" advantage, not home ground advantage.
Geelong being the only Victorian team with a suburban home ground advantage is already a ridiculous concession they get
