Bored, half cut and watching the Norf game, I got thinking about the present day All-AFL Complete Campaigners side, so - IMO - here it is;

FB: Bugg - S.Thompson - M.Williams
HB: Mackie - Hodge - H.Shaw
RK: Dixon - J.Selwood - Viney
CR: Gibbs - Lewis - Picken
HF: Greene - Stringer - L.Thomas
FF: Ballantyne - Hawkins - S.Johnson
IC: Fasolo De Goey McLean Yeo

Discuss.

Gibbs out
Mitch Robinson in and VC

I've been overseas since the start of the year what went wrong at Sydney that they are playing so badly
They remind me of us in 2011. Lost a GF they should have won and it's all fallen apart. 100% just mental.

OK but it's more extreme we still made finals and were unlucky to miss in 2012.
This just so extreme maybe the comp is more even now but the little I've seen they deserve to be bottom of the ladder.

We lost 5 of our first 8, barely scraped over the line against Brisbane in one of the ugliest wins i've seen us play and snagged a draw against Richmond.

We were 1W-1D-5L in the first 8 rounds (with 1 bye) and I think Sydney are every chance to beat (one of or both) BL and North by round 8 to notch 1 or 2 wins.

This might be premature and maybe a little harsh, but Hugh McCluggage is the next home sick Brisbane player who I believe will leave after his two year contract. You could see really wanted to stay in Melbourne on the draft day and he seems a bit tentative in the game. Very early days I know, but I would not at all be surprised if at the end of 2018 he requests a trade to a Melbourne club.

Essendon still disgust me like the supplements stuff was yesterday. I don't think they will ever shake off that stench in my opinion.

Go dees today. Seems essendon game to lose with Melbourne outs though.

A player of ours flying under the radar somewhat , that has been absolutely killing it , is Dylan Roberton. Not a high profile player , but probably leading our Best & Fairest , with a few Brownlow votes to boot. This guy must be in All-Australian contention surely. Lets hope he is also contacted for a year or two more too.

Being exposed for their lack of depth due to their long term expensive contracts for Buddy, Tippett, Kennedy, etc. Injuries have hit hard too with Tippett, McVeigh, Heeney being out for the first block of games.

On a side note. Given I live in Sydney, Im very much looking forward to going to Round 10 Sydney v Hawthorn at the SCG...

I will be going with mates that are Swans supporter, which will be great because I can join in their support & barrack for our 1st round draft pick :D

I agree completely. It's another positive from having Brown and Carlisle in the side. Roberton can now play his true position.

Yeah been our best player this year and looks to have gone up a gear again. Hard to win brownlow votes from the backline though. He deserves to be AA on current form.

Don't know how you can claim that.
He's from Warrnambool, so there's not really a home club for him. You'd also reckon Brisbane would have done some work on that.

He's an outside skinny player probably not ready for senior football physically yet.

He looks like a poor mans Richard Tambling. Pass.

Hayward and Florent for Hawks pick?
Nah, use Hawks pick for the draft. Will be a top 4 pick IMHO as they'll need to start blooding the kids to see their worth.

I'd trade our 1st & 4th for their 2nd & Hayward though
