I imagine a lot of players from that 2018 super draft will end up with a flag.

Oh God, the panic. Yes. Totally just my emotional state but I was working myself up to a tantrum while stupid partner was crafting some consolation theory that he had always said that we would miss this year but win in 2022. He’s lucky Harmes made that pass to Fritsch because I was close to punching him in the head

I wish BF still had a feature where you can see lurker numbers at a given time. Apart from being interesting it’s a good alert to moderators to either stay awake half the night or cancel their account

I’ve just discovered that mod tools let me read the deleted posts (going to take me days - there are so many).

A troll from a Carlton poster 5 minutes before the end of the match actually gave me a chuckle where he says “bit of a nail-biter”.

Hats off Carlton guy. This is the kind of historical exercise that I can enjoy from the other side of a premiership

Depressing reading, but good to know how far we've come. If you'd told me back then we'd win a flag in 10 years I wouldn't believe you.

The thing I find the funniest is for years when Melbourne are sh*t, campaigners give it to you all the time. 'Its child abuse making the kids barrack for the Dees', 'you guys should just fold' as so on

Then you win a premiership show some happiness and there is always a few flogs saying 'I know your new to success but be humble' or 'Geez you would think you guys have always been good'

This reminded me of something from early 2011. I worked at a flooring place and a new carpet layer started working for us. When I first met him he was wearing a dees polo top I said to him, ah a dees man and he looked at me as if I was about to give him shit. He asked me who I barracked for and I said the dees. He said he expected me to give him grief.

I don't really remember getting too much shit from opposition supporters personally more pitty. I remember seeing some Richmond supporter on the footy show donating 40k to the club it actually kind of annoyed me that we were a charity case. This was pre neeld as well. I also remembered in a class I was doing in 2013 the first lesson the teacher marking the role asked the class to reply with what footy team we barrack for and I said I didn't barrack for anyone, that was a pretty low time. Someone said the 49ers and he replied losers that was funny though. The teacher was a bombers supporter and I'm pretty sure this was just after that 148 game.
