No current season stats available
'Simon Goodwin's X-rated rant' sounds like some bizarro fan made dees porno flick, and I really want a copy.
I went there for Christmas shopping after they redid the bit with the cinema H&M etc I got such a stimulus overload that I felt completely disoriented and nearly walked into several people.
That place is like Mordor for me.

They got spanked against Port a couple of weeks before. It's just the reality that there are younger, faster and better sides than the Cats, I expect other sides to overtake them this season too.![]()
No excuses but flummoxed Scott still wonders why prelim went ahead
Chris Scott chats with Damien Barrett about last year's preliminary final, Joel Selwood's future, and the Cats' new game planwww.afl.com.au

The real issue is that they lack a Dusty, or a Dusty stopper. Give them either and they win at least two flags between 2016 and 2020. Too late for them now because we’ve gone way past them and the rest of the comp but they were right in the thick of it in the preceding yearsThey got spanked against Port a couple of weeks before. They should've won in 2020, it was right there for the taking, and then Dusty said no. Just can't see their old legs getting it done, will probably still finish top 4 mind you.The real issue is that they lack a Dusty, or a Dusty stopper. I spent early childhood in Canberra before moving to Glen Waverley in the mid 90s. I remember we had people visit from Canberra who thought the Glen was big. I remember thinking if they think the Glen is big then what would they think of chadstone. I was only nine I think I said something like you think the Glen is big you should see chadstone it's like spread arms make explosion soundBeing from the country, I get lost in city shopping centres.

They have a Dusty type in Dangerfield, and they didn't use him well in 2020 grand final. They just haven't been good enough, Scott has done well to get those teams in good positions. Their style works well at their shitbox stadium but it gets exposed by good teams at properly sized grounds. Even get exposed at Marvel. West Coast had similar problems from 2011 to 2017, in 2015 smashed hawthorn in the qualifying final before getting smashed in the gf. Once optus was ready in 2018 they pinched a flag. The real issue is that they lack a Dusty, or a Dusty stopper. Give them either and they win at least two flags between 2016 and 2020. Just remember kids we're in the itchy lot.

When it comes to finals they just aren’t on the same level. I love Dangerfield but he’s shown time and time again that he just doesn’t bring under that kind of pressure to win games. Just wins the ball and boats it forward, doesn’t kick clutch finals goals, can’t hit targets in the same way.Danger was the best player in the league in 2016 and very close to Dusty in 2017. They threw away their biggest chance when they let Sydney kick 7 goals in the first quarter of the 2017 prelim.
Agreed. He lacks the finesse that Dusty has. Can win a big clearance but too often blasts it to no one in particular. When it comes to finals they just aren’t on the same level. It's not s fitness issue. Dangerfield would be elite in terms of his fitness and getting his body up each week.Agreed. He lacks the finesse that Dusty has. Can win a big clearance but too often blasts it to no one in particular.
Finesse, as in the clean skills. No doubt he's physically in good shape but isn't as clean (perhaps the mental part is there too - lacking composure/confidence?).It's not s fitness issue. Dangerfield would be elite in terms of his fitness and getting his body up each week.
The issue is Dangerfield just simply doesn't turn up for big games and that's been proven over the journey.
It's a mental thing.
Who's to say they're not going to?Really disappointed the club (or AFL) didnt put out any behind the scenes stuff with the grand final. I remember them doing it for the WCE vs COL granny and it was fantastic. Would have loved to have seen the coaches speaking with the players and discussing tactics at different stages during the game and the build up.
The draft vids we put out are great, wish we did something similar for the biggest moment in the clubs recent history, regardless of if we had won or lost I would have enjoyed it.
