Well, here's the list
Ayres $2.75 - lots of money from the disaffected Crows who hate the new Shaw
Williams $3.00. Very little wagered so the odds are unreliable.
Judge and Drum $11 - I would have thought there is money to be made here.
Frawley - $13 - pretty good for a Tiger coach, huh?
Pagan - $26 and shortening
Thomson and Eade $34 - long shots, but who knows, they have to start well this year.
Wallace $41 - he might walk though,other interests beckon, worth considering
Malthouse $51 - "this is the coach...put $10 on me please".
Matthews, Schwab, Blight, Daniher and Sheedy are all untouchable at $67. Of these I think a real outsider $1 each way on Schwab might be the go.
Its a Mud's game anyway...

Actuall this was on the news last night.
And I whitnessed to my suprise some of the good old drum wit when confronted with a question on this topic.It went something along these lines.

7 reporter:What comments have you got about being 3rd in betting for first coach to have the sac

Drum:Well I have more of a chance of being involved in football next year than your station

Well i thought it was funny.

This Centrebet thing is based on which coach will be the first to be sacked *during* the season.

In that case the price on Mark Williams shows no appreciation of Port Adelaide's history. When did Port ever sack a coach mid season? And do you think a *Williams* would be the first to suffer that fate?

Sure, his contract won't be renewed if Port doesn't show significant improvement this year, but he'll see out the season for sure.

Don't waste your money on this one.

PS - as I write this, I see from the Centrebet site that Williams' price has already lengthened to $5.00 and they reckon it's more likely that NO coach will be replaced...

My prediction may be wrong, i am not the smartest person on bigfooty but it is my simple opinion!
Clubs change (it is just taking Richmond longer to do so) and because some coaches don't last, how do you know Frawley won't?

And "Eat em Alive" is referring to the opposition

I have a fundraising suggestion for the Saints. Put 12 grand on Blight at $67.00 for first coach to be sacked. Then sack him and collect enough to pay his wages for the first year. A week later you re-instate him.

Port V Collingwood, played five, Port 4, Collingwood 1, and that only loss was Port's first game in the AFL.
