I mean we do he can play CHB in the spot taylor vacated and long term we need to succession plan the defence as hendo is a year by year prospect and we are thin there.

But the eagles wont trade him for that they will want to get back into the first round (this year or next) via that trade or they wont trade him.

Brander for a future 2nd even in a good draft would be a really good value deal but i dont see the eagles letting him go that cheap they would want a future 1st or clark neither of which i would do.

Has he ever played KPD? Thought he was a forward in juniors and has played a half forward role in his games for the Eagles.

Would be easy to have him play back, or failing that maybe he goes to CHF when Hawkins retires in the next few years and Cameron plays deep.

While the Eagles see the 195cm swingman as a required player, suitors are beginning to ask the question over whether Brander would be better served with greater opportunity elsewhere.

Brander played eight of his 11 career games this season, but a persistent hip injury and lack of form cost him games in the middle part of the year.

He played three games in his first two seasons at the Eagles across key posts in attack and defence.

I believe he played defense this season and he's yet to kick a goal so he can't have been playing too deep forward.

It's not out of nowhere either. We asked for him in the Kell deal and WCE said no.

He may well want out but hes contracted. We asked for him last year and they said no i cant see that changing. And they need to get back in the first round this year or next (helps with 2 in 4 rule) i cant see them trading him unless our FR1 or 20 is involved. I like narkle but we may not have a list spot for him and we need key talls so much more. If they would trade brander for narkle and a pick in the 30s next year i would sign that so fast its not even funny.
