Last I heard on this was we were thinking Crouch was unlikely because the money he was after was more than we could offer.

But if it's between us and you guys, you'd assume neither club would be in a position to overpay.

The whole FA trade situation will be educational. Even some in te media are saying the will match if its not P2.. ho they determine what will get P2 is open for debate... If Geelong or Richmond offer anything less than 600 ..I'd say they best get ready to trade.

Im not sure who we land they are all RFA ... Ess will be fun to deal with for Daniher imo.

That is a particularly tough question
I would be pretty ruthless and remove players no of size who weren't quite a ble to reach great heights. That means removing some I like too.

I'd say Adelaide will get band 1 compo. The AFL likes to use free agency compo as a sneaky equalisation measure (Frawley being worth pick 3 and Brandon Ellis getting us pick 40 come to mind)

Potentially but they would have to dodgy the numbers to do it.

I'd assume he goes to whichever club he thinks is more likely to win a flag.

Fogarty as well as Constable and Narkle linked in moving

IT really depends on if someone else comes hard... both are contracted

Charlie Constable/Lachie Fogarty (Geelong)

Constable will ask for a trade to a club that can give him more midfield time. Fogarty is in the same boat, after he was again dropped this week after playing the past two games. He might need to find a home that can allow him more chances, especially if the Cats bring in more midfielders like Brad Crouch or Jack Viney.

Not surprising we are not linked with Saad or Williams considering this coaching groups preferred style.

Williams is reportedly looking at a deal worth $900k per year - a good player, but not worth that to us

As for Saad - based on an article last week regarding his current situation, he comes across as exactly the sort of player that would slot into our defensive unit:

Saad’s role has often changed significantly in defence from week to week in the back half of the year, varying between lock-down defence and a more offensive role.

Ideally he would like to be settled down into a role with a strong defensive mindset but that allows him to maximise his line-breaking abilities.

Its a convenient argument that is brought up often... the old Frawley Franklin thing.... I think the AFL are very aware of the negative opinion of comp that early and tehy tweaked the system ... The Crows already have 2 picks in the top ten .. its not like they have been on the bottoms for years

well that is Band 1 comp for sure... and will push our 2nd and 3rd R1 back ..

Not sure he is durable enough to play that role full time.

As I have said I have reservations on his kicking but I wonder if he is getting more of the ball around the ground he becomes less freaked about it... durability yes big question ... but in our setup maybe he can chop in for 5 a quarter and cover injuries...

Are you able to copy and paste the article?
