I wouldn't mind have a look at Bont... but he would break the SCap...., I suspect at years end , he will be one of the afl's highest paid.

He actually hasn't had that long with GWS, as it's only been 4/5 months since he joined them as an assistant coach so not sure we can get a good read on his impact as the new forwards coach from a couple of preseason matches

When he retired after 2 years with GWS, he joined Sydney as an assistant coach - Franklin was only available for 29 games across those 3 seasons, while Papley has turned into an annoying small forward that's frustrated us

So Mike Tyson or whoever would be the heavyweight champion but someone like Kosta Tszyu who is just a little guy was always described as pound for pound the best fighter in the world.

So to me nominating Dixon is a dumb nomination because he is a good mark because he is a 110kg lug.

Pound for pound it would be more like Liam Ryan who is listed at 72kg.

ah was thinking he was at GWS longer but as mentioned he was with Sydney. Probably unfair to judge based off that anyway as he arrived right at their time of decline.

Getting bont would equate to getting Danger 5/6 years ago... The unlikely hood of getting him, shows how rare the chance was off getting someone like Danger, a guy at his peak , close to the best in the afl.

If getting Danger was list defining as CS said, when he starts to slide, which may have already started to happen, we will notice a building demand for his replacement. Be nice if that could come from a second round pick somehow...or even any pick at all. WE do well with the picks we have, but I am resolute that the lack of single figure draft picks will eventually erode our lists quality.

The chance of of being able to draft someone as highly rated as Danger or Bont is so rare, take the draft that just happened, which outstanding gun kids would have said might have been capable of being that list defining mid player? Maybe Hollands or Phillips... hard to say. Does anyone know really what we have Holmes. Lets hope he is a top player but there has to be some question compared to the more known commodities.

So , the club does what it did last year attack known commodities, that are in system, a practical solution but hardly long term solution.... meanwhile were were beat in the GF by Martin, a player drafted at P3 by Richmond.

Its a conundrum that , I cant see changing till gravity finally wins its inevitable socialistic battle.

True... Boxing is divided up into weight class so it, means who is the better boxer, without the advantage of weight.

The better nomination would have been a Chapman type or Bartel .... perhaps Toby Green? Which small player can win one on one marking duels?
