I was hoping we'd pick him up in the MSDDemons and Tigers have both spoken to Schlensog apparently. I think he could do well given the chance. Hopefully he gets picked up
Will almost certainly keep Zuthrie due to his ‘utility
IMO -Likely to go :
Jarvis
Brownless
Okunbor
Taheny
Jarvis has talent but looks 10% off the AFL Level
Brownless and Okunbor - incredibly fit and faultless application but not sure if enough.
Taheny - flashes of that talent only. Still so raw. Tarca was showing way more at same stage last year.
Kreuger- is he safe? Desperately needs to stay fit and consistently show value to stay on IMO.
wouldn’t be surprised if JJ or Fort asked to go - both might attract some offers if current form persists.

Gardner looked ok but we had Taylor, Henderson and Blicavs so he never got a go in the backline.Would add to the list of players we've delisted over the last 5-10 years who have gone on to play for others clubs. Off the top of my head:
Buzza
Hamling
Gardner
Gillies
Jones
T.Hunt
Murdoch
Simpkin
None of the list above have really proven us wrong for delisting them in the first place except arguably Hamling, although two of them (Simpkin and Hamling) did go on to win premierships with the club that recruited them.
I think you can bank Constable, Jenkins and Teheny not being there. Will almost certainly keep Zuthrie due to his ‘utility

Is Geelong not taking part in the mid-season draft?

Is anyone else concerned that Clark may request a trade at season's end? He's been in and out of the team a bit and often included as the medical sub. Part of me suspects that if he was truly just on the fringes of the best 22, he'd at least be given a decent stretch of time to make his case at the lower level. He and Constable seem like likely trades to me at this point if there are takers.
We need a true ruckman not a hybrid.
Make Sean Darcy our number 1 priority.

Clark and Narkle on the table for Darcy is a good starting places (with pick swaps or Cerra in that deal too)
the interesting thing is the retirement of the 30plus brigade. Do Higgins, Smith, Touhy and Selwood all leave at the end of 2022.

Technically wouldn't it be draft tampering if they had him put a price on his head so North wouldn't grab him and then they don't pay the price?Interesting that none of the speculated former AFL talents were picked up. Wonder if the Hawks did offer Newcombe 4 years? Seems outrageous to me

Would still be draft tampering if he took a price lower then his announced priced especially if North asked about him. Just not from the club but him instead.I think the terms are nominated purely by the player - so unless you could prove the club made him do it....
Is Parker the tattooed forward who played for the Saints a couple of years ago?Interesting that none of the speculated former AFL talents were picked up. Wonder if the Hawks did offer Newcombe 4 years? Seems outrageous to me

That's what I suspected at the beginning of the season. I just notice that he's not really getting a lengthy crack at it at either AFL or VFL level this year. Kinda being brought in for one match. Dropped the next. Medical sub.. There's no doubt there's stuff he can work on. But why not, like you say, just give him a chance to work on those things with more continuity at the lower level?I'm not really convinced of it. The pandemic etc may have taken its toll, but he was adamant about playing footy away from Perth when drafted and he seems to have a pretty reasonable head on his shoulders - he'll know what he needs to do to crack the 22, even if one of those things is waiting it out and working on his craft in the VFL
He told the AFL what his contract terms were and the club would have to register his contract. If it was different, it wouldn’t be accepted. Or am I missing something.Would still be draft tampering if he took a price lower then his announced priced especially if North asked about him. Just not from the club but him instead.
Doubt it happened but at the same time wouldn't surprise me with how things work in the AFL.
More and more Draftees are telling clubs stuff off i don't wanna go interstate/or play for you or i will leave asap etc.
If the AFL don't put a stop to it eventually players will just say i am going to whichever club they want no matter the pick they have.
yuuup. hard pass for me, but I'm sure he'll get along with that part of the RichmondIs Parker the tattooed forward who played for the Saints a couple of years ago?
