Yeah there is no way we would do that. It's garbage. We would deal this years first for Henry maybe and next years for Bruhn. I would be staggered if we didn't take 7 to the draft. Not sure if he would be there but I would give anyone for M Phillipou if we did have it and he was still there. Jhye Clark is fantastic but this kid has all the same competitiveness and desperation to be great but is 192cm with more speed and power and has elite endurance. He's the youngest player in the draft and has so much upside it is not funny

100% agree

I'm on McKenzie, but absolutely agree that you couldn't go wrong with any of Clark, Phillipou or McKenzie, around that pick. Anything in the Top 10 looks like a very solid prospect, IMO

For mine the ceiling of McKenzie and MP isn't close at all. Phillipou has a Bont ceiling and I think most people agree his ceiling is the equivalent of anyone is this draft including Ashcroft. All high quality players no doubt though. Clark is as close to Selwood with his determination and will to turn a game as anyone I have seen come through in the draft for a while. not there obviously but some of the same traits maybe a Selwood light hahah

37 and 47 or 37 and Esava should be enough for Bruhn.
Alternatively could trade those picks for a future second to use to trade to the Suns.

If we got pick 27 for Francis Evans, a dude who was picked at 41 and a reach at pick 41 and has played 5 career games, I would have a genuine reason to believe that Tigers fans have been right all along and the AFL is rigged in our favour.
Why would we get pick 27 for Evans.... his been delisted

I was just sitting here realising that should we get Bruhn, Henry, and Bowes...even if we need to split the #7 pick...and keep the now likely #20 pick. that would be 4 top 20 additions to our premiersbip squad....and maybe even add McKenna...

How awesome is that.
Pretty bloody good.

If Bowes wants immediate game time - and given his age and years in the system you would have to think that that would be his main priority in picking a club - then I don't really get why he would choose us over the many other clubs that would offer easier pathways to the first team. Not that I'm complaining, though, obviously, if he does end up choosing us.

I get that a lot of the appeal of Geelong is our success, but I legitimately struggle to see who he'd replace in our best 22 next season.

We have 37, 47, 52, 55 to turn into a future R2 or even into something to trade for Bruhn or Henry (who are both worth picks 20-25 out of contract).

I dont see a current or future r2 getting henry and bruhn alone. I think we will find it hard to convince gws/coll to take that.
I think realistically one will be 18 and the other our future 1st.
If however we could turn 37 and the other picks into a future 2nd and or 3rd that would allow us to trade those picks for bowes and 7.
Which is a net result i could live with.
