Pick 18 - HenryNo idea. But we don’t have the draft capital to get Henry, Bruhn and Bowes with our current hand.
Disgruntled? Luke Tuohy? Cameron? Stanley? Smith?Frankly, I'd rather see us keep our draft picks and forget about chasing disgruntled players from other clubs. Who would you rather, the next Joel Selwood or SDK, or a couple of these unproven cast offs from other clubs?
GC want a 2023 pick.Pick 18 - Henry
F1/Ratugolea - Bruhn (with something coming back.
36 - Bowes/pick 7.
Easily achieved. We trade 46 and two in the 50's into the future.GC want a 2023 pick.

These players are not disgruntled, they just want to play for the Cats. Can you blame them?Frankly, I'd rather see us keep our draft picks and forget about chasing disgruntled players from other clubs. I should have been clearer. In order to get pick 7 Gold Coast will want our 2023 R1. We may be able to avoid that but if we do we won’t get pick 7.If we trade our current first for Henry (plus steak knives), our future first for Bruhn and our current second rounder to GC for Bowes plus pick 7 that works doesn’t it?

Brisbane need points this year for Ashcroft & Fletcher.GC want a 2023 pick.
Apart from Stanley, they were proven players who fitted into our plan to extend our finals window. Cameron was a big risk but he was a gun. Brunh, O Henry, Bowes?Disgruntled? Luke Tuohy? Cameron? Stanley? Smith?
I can because it will give us the capital to get it all done. Can’t see us being prepared to do that trade if they want us to take on all of Bowes contract.
I’m keen.Brisbane need points this year for Ashcroft & Fletcher.
We have points available.
Brisbane will have to dip into their future picks to get what they want this year. (Ashcroft, Fletcher & Dunkley).
I don't blame them, I just don't think we need them. These players are not disgruntled, they just want to play for the Cats. Can you blame them?

I know. We have 36, 46, 52, 55 and 61.I should have been clearer. In order to get pick 7 Gold Coast will want our 2023 R1. We may be able to avoid that but if we do we won’t get pick 7.
So thats what Selwood meant when he said it's coming home. Bring them all home!BRING PICK 7 HOME
How are these cast-offs more unproven than unknown prospects that are draft picks?Frankly, I'd rather see us keep our draft picks and forget about chasing disgruntled players from other clubs. Who would you rather, the next Joel Selwood or SDK, or a couple of these unproven cast offs from other clubs?
Yeah sorry that was just a broad comparison, no-one will compare to Selwood. Selwood aside I still have some reservations on current evidence, again noting that I am judging this off a few short videos. It will never be a fair comparison so we shouldn't even bother as an industry.
Puts ridiculous pressure on the kid and even if he ends up great if he's not Joel Selwood folks will be dissapointed.
Similar story with JU-H at the Dogs. Developing slowly but showing signs like a good young key forward does, but due to the Lance Franklin comparisons some have already called him a bust.
I'm in my 20s so I'll be around a while, and I still think I'll never see another Joel Selwood.
McRae is like Bevo. All about the spirit of the club. If he even gets the slightest whiff that you're not 100% in, then you're out.Yes, all true.
He's a second year medium forward who plays taller (he pinch hit as a semi CHF and had to be rested because he got a little bashed up) and averaged a goal and a half including periods when we were losing. Not getting back into the 22 was a tiny bit curious. Johnson was dazzling a couple of times but Henry was doing the work and McRae picks for attitude first. Maybe his honesty about wanting to go to Geelong was read as an attitude problem? I don;t really know, we expected him back.
I'm mostly on the side of the players in these sort of deals and frankly on the Pies board is the more common outlook (obviously there's a few who want to "make [someone] pay!".
I think you will get him (and not for 7, we're dreamers but that would be ridiculous) and I think it will be worth it, he's gold, much stronger than Ash Johnson, basically a stronger version of the under-rated WHE.
You think so, and I think so, but probably the Pies will ask more. I don't know Wright as an administrator well, he might have some Hawthornish spite?
I want the deal to happen. Its will be good for footy.
No idea. But we don’t have the draft capital to get Henry, Bruhn and Bowes with our current hand.
Then they can keep him, that's ridiculous.I should have been clearer. In order to get pick 7 Gold Coast will want our 2023 R1. We may be able to avoid that but if we do we won’t get pick 7.
I’m sure they are but I can’t see how we get to keep 7 under any scenario where we get all the players. Perhaps the long shot is trading our later picks this year to someone like Brisbane to give us a 20s pick which we can package for Henry or Bruhn.I would think, but could be wrong, that Wells/Mackie will be working on a scenario to avoid that.
Frankly, I'd rather see us keep our draft picks and forget about chasing disgruntled players from other clubs. Who would you rather, the next Joel Selwood or SDK, or a couple of these unproven cast offs from other clubs?
Yep, they are dispensable for sure. It would be great if someone like Brisbane snapped them up. In total those picks are worth about pick 10 in DVI.I know. We have 36, 46, 52, 55 and 61.
A few of those are easily tradable for future picks. We're likely to be only using pick 7 in the draft.
