I'm sorry but this guy has had way too many chances, his disposal has been disgusting.

Also can someone tell Duffield when he gets the ball to not try and evade the tackle. He has given away 4 holding the ball decisions in 6 quarters of footy over the last 2 weeks

Hasleby won both centre clearances when Gilmore was in the ruck. Gilmore should only be on the ground when Sandilands is on the bench or in the goal square.

Duffield has been woeful, won't play next week with Dodd and possibly Cook, Murphy and Black to come back in.

Doubt Blacky will play next week. Especially on the back of a 5 day break when he is already underdone.

Watching gilmore's performance today, was almost cause to burst a blood vessel. That guy is just a very, very average footballer.

We all know his history, the good and the bad.

He keeps getting games. While the consensus in this site seems to be more against him than for him I keep thinking their is more to the guy than we as supporters can see.

He is a bit of a ball magnet. His problem seems to be decision making.

One thing which cannot be taught is getting the ball. What to do with the ball can be taught.

FFC have invested time and money in him. I think they are on the right track . He did not lose the game today for us. The guy needs confidence. Once he gets it he will be an important part of fullfilling our objective. Mabey not in the first 22 but definitely in the first 25.

Do you know why he has a problem with his decision making? It's quite simple, he is petrified he always has been and always will be.

Yes it can be taught but not to dumb mental squibs like Gilmore.

I know blokes who can hardly write their name but can score 301 and know how to finish on a double without a check score.

There is hope for the guy.

Your Spot on mate, I was at the game today and he just lacks a clear decision when he gets the ball, example was when he tried to draw a player only to work out that he was not coming at him, so he slammed the ball on the boot inside 50 to a Essendon player 30 metres in the clear.

He has no problem finding the ball and getting in the right spot. He just needs to work on his disposal and start making the right decisions when he gets the footy.

He was not the only player down today, there were plenty others who made pooor decisions and were not executing simple skills.

That has got to be one of the most undisciplined games a side has produced. When you have players like Gilmore and Hayden giving away the silliest 50 metre penalties it must infuriate the coaching staff as does the supporters!! Just so unprofessional.

And to turn the ball over so easy and so often is such a worry.

Another case of too few playing 4 quarters and others just flashing in and out and thinking they are doing their job.

I disagree. We had a thread on this a while back. I remember writing that my issue with Gilmore is he just doesn't seem to learn. I won't go into it all again. I just can't see him developing much beyond where he is. He has been in the system for over 5 years now.

I agree :thumbsu:

Hey you cheeky bugger, I didn't write that! I'll let you off since you provide frequent audio/video links. :)
