as a kangaroos supporter i hate to see a great player for our club embarrass himself . it is time that mighty mick hangs up his boots. he deserves more than to be made to look foolish by trying to get to 300 day games. it serves no purpose for carlton(who cannot make the finals) to continue to play him at the expense of a young player who would derive great experience from the remainder of the season.
do yourself a favour mick and give it away and be remembered for your great career and not your last few efforts.

Mick Martyn has surprised everyone. He has been very effective, and has only had 6 goals kicked on him for the entire season. Better option than Livingston now IMO. He's there for experience, and we need a "gorilla" to battle the big forwards in Neitz, Lynch (thrashed him(, Hall, etc.

carlton dont need experience in the backline, they already have it (mckay, beaumont etc.), carlton need to start playing some kids now that 2003 is just about gone. finish bottom (and win <5 games) and u'll get the priority pick that u missed out on last year!!

Carlton need a big body in defence. They also need the best 22 they can get on to the field. Apart from the blooper goal, apparently Mick played well against Geelong.
