There was a line in one of the articles that quotes him as saying he still wants to be in football so maybe that is more a GM role . Flip side of that is the reason the Saints moved him on was he did not drive good enough standard’s.

Another article suggested the replacement role would be less senior than what Mahoney had (likely filled by McPherson)

So not an EGM with GMs reporting to him I suppose, they’ll probably flatten the mid-tier and have all GMs and the coach report to the CEO like I think Vozzo was used to at West Coast.
