Looking at this, makes me wonder why the top level wasn’t extended are far as possible around to atleast the Hickey Stand Ramps, potentially adding hell of a lot more seats. Any ideas?

Difficult to see how. Besides the Stadium Trust office/box, the seating bowl and concourse goes as far up to the ramp as possible, and the ramp and concourse touch the edge of the footpath.

Looks like majority of seats are in and that it's where they're yet to put the roof piece and have the added scaffolding that there's no seats

The concourse def looks a lot further along than my last visit

I wouldn't be surprised if it was ready in January if they had a need to open it - but most likely to take a bit of time and get it right for the pre-season with any practice games we have

I can't see it being ready in January, Christmas shut downs etc means the union sites are probably shutting down mid next week and not back until mid January.

It's not a major issue though until they then claim they are well behind and will need bulk OT to have it ready for round 1

I'm assuming Moorabool St is the road in the foreground running left to right, with Newtown in the background (beyond St. Mary's oval and LaTrobe Tce), left being southern (river) end.

Oh yeah der Moorabool runs the entire length of the ground.

I recon they'd want a bit of a practice run though, especially staffing and crowd management, ingress/egress etc. You can do all the planning in the world but when it comes down to the day, where people will walk/try to get in / etc can be a bit random

I really hate Ticketmaster and their crap web code. Tried to register interest for new stand seats. Asks how many, oddly asks if I want seats at the MCG, selected No, and now this also comes up for me. Logging in and out makes no difference. What hot garbage.

Ticketbastard is universally hated in the States, they have a monopoly on pretty much all event ticket sales.

I particularly loved their "convenience fee" charged on tickets directly at the box office.

Was surprised to smell their stinky feelers all over the AFL.
