Hey, what do they do with the regular K? And for that matter, what ever happend to K. Ballard? You know, if you said mallard and you had a cold, it would sound like ballard.
Brian: Do you listen to yourself when you talk?
Peter: I drift in and out.

Peter and Brian in jail for tax evasion:

Brian: Uh, how was your shower?
Peter: Oh, I tell ya Brian, all the rumors about dropping the soap are true.
Brian: Really?
Peter: Oh yeah, you can't hold onto that thing to save your life. Oh, it was slipping all over the place. Guys were laughing.
Prisoner: Hey, you're the guy who couldn't hold the soap!
Second prisoner: That was hilarious!

Simple, cos the jokes in this go way over some people's heads, whilst the Simpsons appeals to the lowest common denominator. You actually need some form of intelligence to appreciate Family Guy.

Don't get me wrong, I do still enjoy the Simpsons - but Family Guy is just so much better.

Don't get me wrong, I do still enjoy the Simpsons - but Family Guy is just so much better.

Well I can personally say that I am jealous because I'm not 'intelligent' enough to appreciate The Family guy .

because the simpsons is on every day and has been for 15 years or something whereas family guy was on FTA shortly and now is on Pay TV once a week or something. MAny people will have never see Family Guy.

As for intelligence, the Simpsons has a huge range of jokes. Some will be understood all and others will be more subtle. That is why repeats can still be good as after watching an eposide so many times you may pick up on a new joke.
