AFL Club
Adelaide
All we need to do to finish 4th is win our last 2 games. And we need the dogs to drop their last 2. They are playing Geelong and Collingwood. They should lose their last two.

It is very likely that we will be sitting 4th going into the last round and therefore our destiny is in our hands. The fact that we are seriously having a crack at the top 4 is testament to the Adelaide Football Club. ****ing brilliant.

Also with Melbourne winning today they get no priority pick ( think). Which is good for all the other clubs including the crows as our second rounder will be one pick higher etc

We should have a few good IN's this week and we should also have a good win, percentage could become very important so we need to bury the Eagles.

Come on lads!!!!

Port winning should ensure Carlton get 7th. So they may rest stars in rd 22 giving us an easier game
Melbourne's win today still does leave them with a PP. 1 more win and it's gone.

1st things 1st.... Melbourne have only won 4 games. If they lose their last 2, they will get a PP. Looks like they have been planning this win for a while. Most interchanges for a game in last 4 weeks is 53. Had 79 at 3 qtr time..... Clearly tanking by wearing the players out in the past few weeks and keeping them fresh today

Our destiny is not "completely" in our hands. We still need the Dogs to lose the last 2, which we can't control.

Eagles are playing good footy. We should win, but that doesn't always mean we WILL win....

Oh right yeah just heard it on the TV. And they have Carlton and St Kilda in the next few weeks, so looks like they will still be getting that priority pick.

^doesn't matter...just means Port have a very good chance of dropping out of the 8...
Crows still determine their own destiny...as Crows face off against Carlton in round 22 and could be winner take 4th. omg, i'd be so annoyed if Carlton got 4th.

Carlton about to beat Port so R22 likely becomes a play off for 4th or 5th (depending on the Dogs).

Huuuuuugee match as finishing 6th/7th sets you on the hard side of the finals draw and practically zero chance of a GF birth.

When you are relying on other teams to lose to make you goal a reality then you know you are barking up a wrong tree!

Lets not write the doggies off just yet. They lost to both Geelong and Collingwood by less than a kick. Wasn't it 2 and 1 point respectively.

I would think Doggies are a decent chance to win their last 2 and remain in the top 4.

The fact that we are even in calculations for top 4 at the end of round 20 is a very fine achievement for us. This was very much a development year and finishing 5th at the end of minor round would be a very good achievement.

Winning a final would be even better.

Top four here we come!

The Bulldogs should lose to Collingwood and Geelong, unless those Victorians over there decide that they don't want an interstate team in the top four! Nah, just kidding.

We should beat WC quite comfortably with our midfield experience and backline. The game against Carlton should decide what this team is really about. Win and a premiership isn't out of our grasp. Lose, and Neil Craig's team ability under pressure should be seriously questioned. Adelaide should beat Carlton, it will come down to our mental capacity to be up for the occasion.

If we make top four, we aren't expected to beat St. Kilda but if we can play like Essendon are playing at the moment, nothing is impossible!

thats all i'm after. Be it 5th or 6th I just wanna win a damned final.

It's probably a case of 4th/5th or 7th as Brisbane will probably be 6th imo.

6th/7th a death knell for going deep in finals.

I'm not sure why we are happy with one finals win? Take out Saints and we can legitimately beat any of the others (though if Cats hit form they are also out of our league).

Why is everyone writing of the Doggies? They're a very good side with some very very smart smalls. If they had the tall forwards to go with them they'd be close to the top I reckon. As Stiffy pointed out they only just lost to them 2 by very small margins. Geelong might rest a few of their guys anyway or take it easier... they've got nothing to play for anyway, they'll just want to run the game out without any injuries.

On a side note - do St Kilda and Essendon have some sort of agreement where they are obliged to fall over when they play each other if it will be beneficial for either side to better their ladder position?

We'll finish 5th IMO and play Port and we'll smash them.

All I want is a home EF. I honestly believe we could win an away SF, our best is good enough. Believe!

looks like the Bombers may still 8th, currently 35pts up close to 3 qtr time and thy have freo next week followed by the hawks

Given results I am almost convinced if we lose that Round 22 match we will be playing an away Elimination final.

Of course if we don't get over the line against West Coast it doesnt matter.

If we beat the Eagles next week and I assume so. Round 22 could decide who gets the 4th spot assuring the Bulldogs lose both of their games. But our likely finish is outside the top 4. It will be nice to win a final for sure. But playing an elimination final in Brisbane gainst the Lions could spell doom for this club.
