Good response to the debacle against the Saints, but will the Crows go on with it this week?

Let me put it this way - there is still a lot of things that need improvement from todays game, and about five or six players still who did not contribute much.

Is Goodwin injured?

You'd have to think Goody is carrying a bit of an injury. He's been well down in the last 2 weeks.

Our first half was good, but we had some very ordinary patches today, especially in the second half when we looked pretty poor at times.

We're definitely a bit off the boil at the moment, although injuries in the last 2 weeks haven't helped.

When we play with intensity, we look very very good and a genuine premiership chance. When we don't we look very average.

Adelaide just aren't playing four quarters of football at the moment. And it's very frustrating. Without trying to sound too pesimistic I have some reservations with our next five opponents being West Coast, Port Adelaide, Collingwood, North Melbourne and Brisbane. On current form we're going to have a hard time beating any of them unless we can play our best footy the whole way through a match.

It's very hard for a side to keep up the intensity that the Crows have shown for 4 quarters week in week out that's why we need a fair run with injuries & our 3 td tier group playing well in the SANFL, but the most pleasing part of sun game was the final 10 min when after being challenged strongly by the Swans & being put under a lot of pressure we found something extra to in the end come away with a fairly comfortable win,

I agree Noddy.

Ive been at the SCG on many occasions where the crowd has brought the Swans home to victory; so for the TEAM to all pull together when it was needed was pretty special...against the wind

We can improve heaps on that performance.

Something we need to look at is NOT handballing off every time we take a mark...well not quite every time
but sometimes ( in the interest of getting the ball moving)

Lately its become a habit that we "telegraph" a bit when the receiving player would do better to "talk" to the kicker telling him where to move the ball to.

I thought it was interesting how closely this game mimicked Round 18 last year.

I had friends in the crowd who were telling me at half time how much of a shallacking it was going to be! I wasn't quite so confident.

I couldn't agree more DaveW. Our next 5 games are all 50-50 contests. We really need to improve for me to be confident of coming away with 4 points.

WC are a very good side and have been in better form than we have.
Port are a quality side and showdowns are always 50-50
Collingwood haven't lost a game and have looked good in all 3 games they played. (Richmond, Carlton and Geelong)
North Melbourne will be fired up against Carey and his new club
Brisbane, well they are just Brisbane and playing them at GABBA doesn't make it any easier.
