Plenty of people are complaining about Talia's comments.

The same people that have been complaining about our club's incompetent management, woeful on field results and total capitulation since 2017.

Talia has gone from playing in a GF, to seeing his employer blow up the joint, finish last, then sack him after being injured for a year.

You don't think Talia might have some question marks over how things are handled? He has not and never will be a club apologist that toes the party line at all costs.

Do you want him to just sit there and say he's happy how thing panned out for him?
The club has been pretty open and honest with Dan, he has said that on numerous times himself

I have no problems him being disappointed and stating that he felt the club could have offered a new contract

What I take issue with is Dan now throwing his toys out of the cot, not showing up to the BnF is not great form, throwing rocks at our culture is not great form

Lets be honest, Dan wouldn't know about great culture

He has been part of a senior group that failed to deliver success, and created a divide between senior
and youngers, now we arenseeing this behaviour with his comments to catch up with senior players only

Sounds like Daniel may be one of the key players in the poor culture at the Club.

I like how we have let go of the older players, taking away the temptation of playing the senior players over the likes of Cook, Pedlar, Butts, Berry etc.

This is the group that will take us forward and they are the ones who need to be handed the keys.

It starts with giving captaincy to the Dude.

Geezus you people are reading a lot into what he actually said and then adding a good dollop of mayo on top.

I'm pretty sure I've heard the young defenders speak glowingly of the help he's given them developing their game.

If he's such selfless team man, why can't he get around his teammates and support them at the best and fairest?

Players left from the 2017 GF side.

Laird
Seedsman
Talia
Brown
Mackay
Sloane
Lynch
Walker
M Crouch
Kelly

I wont be surprised if we get at least one more gone from that list over the trade period.
I couldn't believe that list, but yep

Christ, time goes fast

So he makes two comments and suddenly he's throwing toys out the cot and is responsible for our past cultural problems?

Does this sound correct when in the past Talia has been the only player to stand up to the organisation and speak his mind?

We've had multiple senior players defending the camp including our captain Sloane, we've had Tex making a racist comment, we've had Jenkins crying when he wasn't selected, we've had Jacobs ditching the club at the end of the season, we've had Brad Crouch assisting a young player buy drugs on the street

But Talia makes an accurate comment about how maybe our culture still needs work and suddenly he's the architect of our issues? Lol what?

Maybe he's just had enough.

Shouldn't that read as ....A singular not plural?

Unless of course you know of other instances?

I'm sure they can have a good chat about it at the b&f.

Players needed to make sacrifices in relation to their pay during COVID.

Some worked with the club, some didn't work with the club.

I vaguely recall it not being a fixed reduction across the board. Seemed strange at the time different players would potentially forego unequal amounts/rates.

Whatever has happened, however it’s been handled it’s a shame that Talia can’t see this isn’t the way to exit.

perfect time to take the high road, he might regret it no matter how aggrieved he feels

there’s no capital to made by taking such a stance. And it might just make another team wonder about his bonds with teammates

You don't see anything hypocritical about pointing out issues with our team culture while at the same time being unwilling to attend the best and fairest to acknowledge the hard work of his teammates this year?

there’s Mayo, and there’s just making it up.

It depends what message he is attempting to send by not attending. Is it an attack on his teammates, or an attack on the club?

I find it hard to believe Talia is sitting there deliberately not attending the BnF so he can collectively tell all his teammates to **** off.

So he did his job?

The one he was paid over half a million dollars a year to do?
