Lovely work PK, especially love the tackle at the end on Boomer. Yeo saw that it was marked but ran on and continued to watch the play and turned and hit him. We've got some good young kids with good footy brains!
The above is from ‘PK’s 2012 Player highlights thread – that I wish not to derail…
So true brother sean!
I’m going to grab that ‘footy brains’ baton and run with it… running left, no really… way left - going to go so bloody way left field that if it was a geographical point on the earth it would now be the first paddock to your right. [think about it!]
What the heck, it’s off season, ‘almost/kinda’ topical if linked to the draft night on Thursday and TomFC has been whinging about not being able to get teeth into any sort of ‘indepth’ conversation, of late.
So, I ask him and anyone else who cares to walk on the wild-side for a day or two… To forget about a theoretical Moneyball statistical footy team, I’m asking you to think of a “Mensa-Ball” squad. But wait, there’s more!
I ask you to think not of a GWS two-draft years of twenty odd 1st round draft picks but more of a team of say twenty odd 2nd and 3rd rounders… but these guys fall into the top 1% of footy smart brainiacs.
No! Really think about this… coach only has to explain a game plan once, players have confidence in the coaches ‘group think’. The runner only has to come out to receive messages from the players….
Would it work, or would hell freeze over before evolution could perfect a DNA with a left brain/right brain balance of both brains and brawn?
