Jeez it must suck to be like you, I'd have given up years ago if I thought like this. Here's some perspective:
tigas have 3 flags in 4 years, meanwhile at Collingwood, apparently in the 'window' at the same time has bupkis.
tigas have 3 flags in 4 years, meanwhile at Collingwood, apparently the powerhouse over the course of the competition have 2 flags in 6 decades.
Collingwood of 2009 - 2011 viewed as would smash any current team won one flag in their 'dynasty'
Perspective.
You mean the one a couple of posts above?
You put it in a different thread - I just moved it![]()

You mean the Pies team that had Chris Dawes, Jaryd Blair, and Brent MacafferRichmond wouldn't hold a candle to the Lions of 01-04, Geelong of 07-11, Collingwood or 10-11 or Hawthorn of 13-15.
And I agree the state of the competition right now is not strong.
BUT - what Richmond do in this day and age over massive over-complication, is play the simplest, most attacking brand of football of anyone in the competition. Its a significant credit to Hardwick and his assistants that they've been able maintain success over such a sustained period, essentially playing the same 'style' throughout.

If you knew me, you'd know that I hate Geelong with a passion. I loved Dusty's game last night. He's an amazing player probably the difference between Richmond being a contender and a genuine dynastic power. It's apples and oranges. Different eras. Different levels of professionalism. We're comparing Nicklaus and Tiger, Thommo and Akram, or Phar Lap and Winx. It's not really a debate. The closer to the modern era a player/team/horse is the greater they are because memories dim. They're just opinions and they're a little bit like armpits we've all got themI think you might be stil hurting from seeing dusty last night, even without the brownlow as a reference, I think you're just kidding yourself but hey, we all have opinions, mine is different to yours but I think deep down you know I'm right
