GTA IV Multiplayer was amazing if you played it with friends on microphones.

Jumping scooters into rotor blades and seeing how far you could get flicked, one in a helicopter and one in a NOOSE Van with both on 6 stars, racing through train tunnels on dirtbikes, so good. There was so much good in GTA IV but everybody overlooked it because you can't get a purple dildo and whack people with it while flying a jetpack.

Going to download vice city and san andreas off PSN because there is no way I can wait this long. Anyone got them off PSN before?

Got them both and III the other week. All run perfectly fine.. no glitches or anything. The only thing you need to be mindful of is that playing PS2 games on the PS3 heats the PS3 much quicker than normal. Not sure why but it happens.

Paramedic missions are still utterly terrible though and III is near impossible for me. Managed to complete Vice City's one last night however. I wouldn't even bother but I wan't 100% as I can't even honestly remember if I got 100% on any of them when I played them long ago.

As a rule of thumb, you probably wouldn't release a game where you can fly planes on 9/11.

There was a really good article on IGN a few days ago about what R* did to the GTA that was due to come out in October 2001 to make it more "acceptable' after the pictures that emerged from the attacks

Great article, everyone should hunt it down. Excellent insight into the development of the series.

Picked up GTAIV the other day on the cheap, liking it more than I remember. The characters are horrible, but it ain't that bad. The best thing though is the amazing difference between it and RDR. The step up to GTAV is going to be staggering.

I reckon this is just an old article with some extra content pumped in towards the end. I swear I read the GTA III & VC segements before.
