Why are we playing this guy ahead of yarran, stevens, scotland, robinson, ellard etc. It's so frustrating seeing this guy playing at AFL level when he can barely get BOG's at VFL level. Ellard should be in instead of Bentley. Why does everyone think that this is true besides the carlton MC.
 
FYI Bentley dominates VFL. He gets a game ahead of Stevens because he is accountable. He gets a game ahead of Scotland because I assume Scotty isn't match fit. He gets one ahead of Yarran because Yarran has shown one or two good things a game in the VFL. Robinson is suspended in the VFL so can't play AFL. Ellard I don't know maybe because he is on the rookie list even though he has played consistent footy all year and late last year with the Ants.
 
He gets a game because Haddles and Bentick can't get their bodies right and Juddy needs some back-up 'inside'.

Bentley was solid last week and needs a decent run in the seniors to prove himself.

Sure, he's rusty but he's a rookie listed player so of course he's not going to come into the team and star from the get-go.

The MC won't be too worried about his skills as long as he approaches each game with confidence and shows maximum effort out on the field.

He has a big body so needs to throw it around to try and get the ball to help his team mates out. At least he has a red hot go.

He's ahead of Stevens because the latter doesn't show us out on the field that he particularly gives a ****.

Stevens was ordinary and it's obvious that he didn't do something right in the eyes of the MC.

Ellard is a rookie listed player that to my knowledge has not been elevated and is thus ineligible.

Robinson needs a run in the magoos before coming back into the seniors. He's been out the last 2 weeks.

Yarran hasn't demanded a spot.

Bentley has been performing well consistently in the reserves so he gets a go in the seniors. He's got minimal competition for his spot which helps his cause.

You are a knob. You could at least try to be original.

Bentley is the new Russell amongst fickle supporters like yourself.

He gets a game because you can't throw all small players with poor skills in the team,you will get flogged if they keep getting outmarked.The thing is why Anderson doesn't get a run before him,i guess because his younger and less built. I guess we could put Ellard on CHB and hope the other player doesn't score 20 goals on him,lol.

I know what you're talking about mate, I still can't figure out why we delisted Ackland last year instead of, say, Murphy. Murphy can't mark overhead because he is too small :mad:

For it's obvious that Murphious can perform to a higher level than Acklamious? That Murphious can be accountable yet an Ackland handpass could render one in a hospitious?

My point remains.

Bentley is a rookie listed player.

He has already been delisted by an AFL club.

He got another chance from a club who picked him up with effectively a pick in the 90s or 100s in the draft.

Yet some supporters expect his game to be near flawless and for him to come into the senior team and be a star from the get-go.

I'd say some supporters need to have a bit of a think about where he came from and lower their ridiculously lofty standards accordingly.

Not many of them are average rookies, they all tread different paths. Carrazzo is a good example for Bentley, was delisted by Geelong, had questionable disposal. Glad we stuck with him.

We smashed richmond round one because we had blokes who tackle hard. I would not be surprised if they beat us today. We will miss Hadley and Robinson who killed it round 1.

i still think his crap and wont last very long. i can admit when we have a crap player but it seems that alot of carlton supporters out there are very bias and think everything we do is good.

absolute crud. Would not get another game at any club - even melbourne 2's.

This should highlight how bad rattern is.

I hate ratten and hughes more than matthew lloyd.

They have absolutely know idea of what makes a succesfull side.

3 rules to picking a player:

1.skill
2.hardness
3.kicking

he only has some level of hardness. Exactly why i also hate yarran. Only has points 1 and 3. Mitch robisnon only has points 1 and 2.

It is so easy, when drafting follow these 3 rules and you'll get most choices correct.

Get reid of bently, ratten and hughes - then we are definately coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
