Been drying some Birdseye chillies on the top of the fireplace for about a week, yesterday they were ready to de-seed and turn into flakes which I did last night, forgot all about it til I woke this morning and rubbed my eyes...... Quite an unpleasesnt experience. Can see why pepper spray is so effective.

Shouldn't laugh but I will.

We had a Birds Eye tree once. It was at the front door and as high as the roof. Pumped out chillies for six months a year for about a decade. We used make sauce, often just bamixed the chillies and stuck them in a bottle or a jar. Best chilli plant ever. Got to the point where birds were spreading the plant all over the area, there were about 10 within 3 kms of the place.

One day we came home after making sauce and one of the lids had blown off the top of a bottle and there was chilli sauce all over the kitchen.

It was impossible to do anything in there for three days. Your eyes and nostrils would burn like hades.

At least you didn't wake up in the middle of the night and have a slash.

That moment when you get back to work and find that someone has driven into your car ..... no note, just some shattered rear reflector pieces and a sizeable cave in in the drivers side quarter panel ..... a little bit of bonnet and drivers door, that thankfully still opens.
