Been noticing baz has been claiming for alot of infringments of late, with both arms spreed out and looking at the umpire while his in the middle of a contest. Seems to me to be a waste of time and energy considering if they think its worthy of a free they will pay it. Also seems that he gets more and more worked up about it and becomes distracted. I know he has kept working hard and eventually come good later in the day, though i cant stop thinking that he should jus forget the umpire and concentrate on the contest his being pushed/infringed out of. perhaps he can turn and create some defensive pressure instead of craking the u know whats with the umps, while the defenders peel off and clear the ball..

He actually got 2 frees in that game. Career high stat? Maybe all that play acting is working.

Baz has always done a lot of appealing for frees without much success. He should just get on with it and forget about the umps, they think because he is a big unit he doesnt need their help. It was kinda the same with Plugger too.

Bazza is a great player for us,but he should learn to shut his trap and he would get more free kicks IMO and a lot of experts(so called) think so too.

The thing is sometimes I think he gets to preoccupied with getting a free he doesn't put his all into winning the contest.

last week i thought he was playing for to many frees, this week he has jus been stooged.. is this rule likely to cost us more than the odd 4 points?

I have the solution. When Barry doubles back and the ball is kicked long over to him, instead of standing his ground, perhaps he should just put his hands up and be bowled over by the backman initiating the contact. Would be hard to ignore a free kick if he is taken out of the contest.

Just wanted to comment on your sig and mention that the very first moment I saw him play I thought the same thing have even made a bet with my dad over it. He has the same flair and determination of Kelly and Maxfield.
