Seems the trend nowdays to post a phantom draft, so here is my attempt

Melbourne - Pick 1 - Jack Watts
Neitz gone, Robbo in and out of games. Need a solid FF for the next decade going forward. Watts has clean hands, very quick, and is a local boy. All you could want

West Coast - Pick 2 - Nick Natinui
Always go for the best avalible. Nick nat's upside is far to great for us to over look him. An athletic freak

Fremantle - Pick 3- Daniel Rich
Plenty of people talking up Stephen Hill, but i dont rate him. Sure he is athletic, and quick, but has the tendenancy to "shank" alot of kicks. Hopefully the question marks over rich all go, and he turns into a solid player, and enters fremantles solid midfield

Port Adelaide- Pick 4- Tyrone Vickery
Really need some better rucks with Lade and Brogan both near the end of there time. Tall skillfull player, could also be turned into a forward in years to come

Essendon - Pick 5 - Hamish Hartlett
This guy has gone off many peoples radars. I think Essendon will pick him up. With Jetta, Davey, Dempsey etc... they dont need Yarran, and a classy midfielder would be nice

Carlton - Pick 6 - Michael Hurley
They need some real insurance down back, and Hurley is the best key defender avalible. Could also be thrown forward, which could fill the forward line vacancy aswell

Brisbnae- Pick 7- Jack Ziebell
This guy is a pure ball winner, with a very classy disposal. Just the kind of leader that Voss would like. Has a very strong future, and a safe option.

Richmond - Pick 8 - Jackson Trengrove
Richmonds midfield is almost set with Cotchin, Foley etc... The forward line is taking place with some young guns. I think they will choose Trengrove. Not only can he fill a KP back role, but he can also be used as a ruckman. Solid KP back/Ruck if he can get over injury niggles

North Melbourne - Pick 9 - Steele Sidebottom
Similar to Essendon, North dont need any more Quick, flashy midfielders. Steele is a goal kicking midfielder, and would go nicely along Boomer and Rawlings

Adelaide - Pick 10 - Lewis Johnstone
Some have them taking Trengrove, but i dont. In my oppinion, adelaide already have the best defense in the comp. Rutten, Bock, Johncock, Mcleod are all gun defenders, and capable of holding down players. What adelaide need is a decent key forward. Getting Johnstone would give them Gill, Tippet and Johnstone, all capable of holding down FF.

Collingwood - Pick 11- Tom Swift
A huge risk, but one that is worth the possible reward. The pies need some extra talent, to go with Swan and Pendlebury, and Swift would fit in nicely

Sydney - Pick 12- Stephen Hill
A quick midfielder, that isnt usualy Sydenys go, but if he slides surely they will grab him. I still dont rate him

St Kilda- Pick 13 - Chris Yarran
Need some good forward pressure, and some speed and X-Factor to go with the hard ball winning midfielders. Would put St Kilda's Midfeiled up there with the best (on paper).

Western Bulldogs- Pick 14- Ayce Cordy (F/S)
Always going to be done this one. Cordy looks like a good player aswell.

Geelong - Pick 15 - Phill Davis
With the news of egan, i think that the cats will want to get a good KP backman. The spot that Taylor operates is one of the only "troublesome" areas in the geelong team, and davis would add skill.

Hawthorn - Pick 16 - Shaun Mckernan
A decent back up for Hawthorns only weakness, its ruck division. Mckernan and Campbell would work well together
Melbourne - Pick 17- Mitch Robinson
After getting a forward with Pick 1, they will look for quality midfielders. They have enough ball winners in Jones, Mclean etc... but need some pace, and this is where robinson is handy

West Coast - Pick 18 - Sam Blease
The first main slide i feel. This guy is one of my favoruite players from the draft, and probably a little bit of bias as to how he fell this far. X-factor Midfielder, with extreemly good disposal. Dosnt get alot of it, but when he does, it is awesome

Melbourne - Pick 19 - Jordan Roughead
They would want to get a decent ruckman to go with Paul Johnson and Mark Jamar, who arnt the best ruckman going around . Jordon would add some class

West Coast - Pick 20 - Michael Walters
Whilst he will probably start off as a forward pocket, he has the endurance and skill to become a dashing wingman. Adds that pace and X-Factor that was over looked in Rich for Pick 2

So in summary

Adelaide: Get A solid FF to go with Tippet (ruckman) and Gill (CHF)
Brisbane: Get a A grade solid disposing midfieler, to replace lappin
Carlton: Get a FB/floating forward for the next 10 years
Collingwood: On the upside, get a guy worth at least pick 2
Essendon: Get an amazingly solid midfielder to go with stanton and co
Fremantle: Get the best midfielder in the draft, to join Palmer, Ibbo etc..
Geelong: Get an insurance for a decent CHB. Sures up the defense
Hawthorn: Get a very good rucking prospect for years to come
Melbourne: Get possibly the next Big thing in forwards.
Melbourne Get a very pacy quick midfielder
Melbourne Get a solid ruckman to back up Johnson and Jamar
North Melbourne: Get a very good goalkicking midfielder to acompany Boomer.
Port Adelaide: Get a very good ruck prospect, and a possible key forward
Richmond: Get a decent FB, and possible ruck for the next decade
St Kilda: Get a bit of X-Factor and Un-predctibilty in the midfield
Sydney: Get a possibly gun midfielder. A quick atheltic unit
Western Bulldogs: Get a very good ruck option
West Coast: Get the most athletic guy in the draft
West Coast: Get a very quick, X-factor, precise midfielder
West Coast: Get a very quick X-Factor, Precise Small forward/Midfielder

Our rucks are fine with Campbell, Renouf & Taylor and also Bailey coming back from injury, think we'd take Robinson there if available.

West Coast - Pick 20 - Michael Walters
Whilst he will probably start off as a forward pocket, he has the endurance and skill to become a dashing wingman. Adds that pace and X-Factor that was over looked in Rich for Pick 2

A very popular comment these days.

Ha ha ha :thumbsu:, I agree. I say throw him into the midfield straight away, that's how highly I rate him. Or, more likely, roaming HFF delivering beautifully into those forwards.

However, if he stays in WA, it's more likely he'll be playing midfield for Swans.

to be honest, i much prefer the singel round mock drafts. The 2nd round is determined by who went first round. So what's the point of going on when you have absolutely no idea what teams are going to do in their first rounds.

Much better taking the punt on who they are going to go with their first selection. From there on, it is far too big a guess and players are so even.
