Getting rid of Harvey after the injuries the club had this year is the biggest hatchet job since Gillard-Rudd.

Just worry about your own club mate. Rudd was taking Australia in the same direction Harvey was taking Freo.

Eade's manager hasn't spoken to Freo, basically laughed it off: SEN.

So one of the Collingwood assistant coaches might no get the senior coaching position but may have already agreed to come over as assistant coach. Which means Simon Lloyd can go back to doing what he does best.

I think as a club whoever comes in needs to continue to draft and develop young players and not sell our future to get another finals appearance. We have sold our future since the clubs inception until Harvey came in. Even now we are still suffering from the Connelly years. We need a declaration from our future coach that they will not put their self interest and short-term gain infront of the sustained success of our club.

Essentially, that is what Harvs has said a few times in the media. That he knew that it would be hard and probably end up in his demise, but he would do the best thing by the FFC's future.

That is pretty amazing. I actually really liked Harvey.
Certainly whenever interviewed he was completely open with his assessment on the players.

Wasn't sure he was the best coach in the world, but actually coaching is about the whole coaching group - not the head coach, and we have lost a couple of decent assistants lately - perhaps that was part of the problem.
