If Paine can drop a bit of weight but still keep his body hard to increase his mobility, I think he could be a great 3rd 'tall' forward.

Paine has been quite exciting so far. Another young bloke who I'd be keen to get a look at this preseason if fit would be Jaime Elliott. Obviously with a bit of an injury now he would be up against it to break into our side this season but remember talk from the club about him and Yagmoor being the stand outs earlier in preseason training

I like this one. Hasn't done a great deal but a few good things. Definately something to work with. I'd make him earn his spot though. We don't need to fast track anyone.

As for a replacement for Krakouer, Didak has to be it. He contributed little in 2011 so if he can take the small forward role until he gets fit enough to assume a midfield role then we won't miss Krakouer. If we can find a midfielder add to the 22 for Krakouer we will have lost little to nothing. I am not a fan of Rounds but he staked a claim. Sinclair on the other hand did the opposite and Buckley was Buckley - not good enough.

The Buckley's of the world need to shine in the lower pressure pre season games.

Amen to that. I know our skills always look shoddy in NAB Cup and often round 1 of H & A, but geez Louise if he's looking like a rabbit in the headlights against friggin' Melbourne in a practice match...

To be fair we arent really "replacing" McCaffer as he wasnt there last year. Its a shame to lose him again. The only player we would be replacing is Krakouer who will be missed. Fasalo will play more games however this year and is the most likely full term replacement, 2nd year should improve with more games. I think Paine may get a run for a few games to help build depth.

Would have been nice to have Dick still on the books if he stayed injury free this year
