Does anyone think that the conditions in Tassie last week played a factor.

It was pretty terrible weather and then to back up a 6 day break wasn't too good.

Not making excuses but perhaps reason to believe Hawks will be a bit more up and about next week against Adelaide

I have made mention of this in the autopsy thread. I thought our players looked leg weary from the first quarter. However, considering our fastest player was out before the first bounce, and our in-form inside mid was subed out 5 minutes into the game, I thought we ran the game out well.

Agree with that, most off them looked tired in the last quarter

Shoenmakers & suckling must not play again for our club will never be premiership players, Duryea & Ross not AFL standard, Brian Lake thanks for 2013 but you are finished Petrie would struggle to kick 5 in EFL division 2!

Funny thing was we had the momentum at the end of pretty much every quarter last night. Just couldn't capitalize on it.

Still we were very sluggish for large parts

Apart from the injury changes I just want to see Hale out for McEvoy. Hell, even Lowden would suffice!
Agree, he's lazyness & unwillingness to chase has cost him his spot in this hawthorn team. We can't afford to be carrying blokes like this anymore.

Really hoping that the crows have a comfortable victory against GWS today.

Don't need them to have any external motivation this week like Norf had last week

Out : Hale, Sewell, Ross, Suckling
In : McEvoy, Langford, Hallahan , Hill

I keep hearing that at Hawthorn you have too earn your spot. Lowden kicks three goals then gets dropped for Hale coming back from injury, and who has shown nothing all year. I know that he was great for us in the finals last year, but surely it's time for him to go back and find some form in the VFL.
Time for McEvoy to show what he can do.
Ross has shown zero impact when coming on as a sub.
While most of the team played crap last night, Suckling was woeful. A couple of times when he was caught with the ball, it gave me the sh*ts as he had prior opportunity to get rid of it, amongst other things.

Langford must come in for the injured Sewell.

We missed hardness last night. We missed that 'never say die' attitude. Langford brings both those things. Puopolo also brings those things and hence why I gave him 4 votes in the Yabby Medal.

Out: Hale Sewell Ross
IN: McEvoy Langford Hill.

Agree with this this.

Hopefully it was nothing serious with Hill's knee, just soreness. Langford is the obvious one for Sewell and hopefully McEvoy plays another solid game for Box Hill as Hale has given us very little this season.

Also, only seen Woodward play a handful of games, but would be interest to hear anyone who has seen him more closely whether he could play forward pocket a bit like Cyril, obviously not in the class of Cyril, but I feel we really lacked pace, tackling and pressure last night and north run it out way to easily from our 50.
