Rankine has been playing forward lately so Rankine replaces Peatling and Muphy replaces RankineI don't understand the team structure. Who is he replacing?
The social media admin being forced to politely ask supporters to stop abusing one of our own players isn't representative of anything other than the fact the club has many toxic supporters who immediately resort to personal abuse when they don't get what they want.
It’s directed at selectors as much, if not more than MurphyThe social media admin being forced to politely ask supporters to stop abusing one of our own players isn't representative of anything other than the fact the club has many toxic supporters who immediately resort to personal abuse when they don't get what they want.
Oh, I do.Don't hate the player, hate the game.
In what way is explaining that the frothing at the mouth is directed at selectors instead of players exculpatory? It's still adults who can't control their emotions. It’s directed at selectors as much, if not more than Murphy
I hope he plays brilliantly, but I don't think it's likely.
Don't think he should have come in, but some of the facebook vitriol was insane and personal
I’m not sure I saw anything that could be described as abuse. In what way is explaining that the frothing at the mouth is directed at selectors instead of players exculpatory? It's still adults who can't control their emotions.
It's not an exaggeration at all. The club posted comments on Facebook and Instagram politely reminding everyone that "footballers are people too" – a clear reference to abuse of the player. Excuse it if you like, I won't.I’m not sure I saw anything that could be described as abuse.
Anger, frustration, disappointment sure.
Even frothing is a gross exaggeration
Without Murphy it was looking like a loss, now it definitely will be.
No injuries is the best we can hope for.
Yes they posted that, doesn’t make it true. It's not an exaggeration at all. The club posted comments on Facebook and Instagram politely reminding everyone that "footballers are people too" – a clear reference to abuse of the player. Excuse it if you like, I won't.
So, anyone that ventures an opinion is frothing at the mouth and unable to control their emotions? Jog on.In what way is explaining that the frothing at the mouth is directed at selectors instead of players exculpatory? It's still adults who can't control their emotions.
We'll shuffle things around to accommodate MurphI don't understand the team structure. Who is he replacing?
Nice strawman. Venturing an opinion is fine, the point is that a significant share of our fanbase has responded to years without success by becoming incredibly toxic and resorting to abuse against players and coaches whenever the club makes a decision they don't like. This board being a good example. Many of those same people, here and elsewhere online, use their anger as evidence that they're more passionate or knowledgeable supporters. So, anyone that ventures an opinion is frothing at the mouth and unable to control their emotions? Also their small / medium forwards had an absolute picnicLast time we played the Hawks, their small men ripped us apart through the middle running in waves. We were unable to stop this. Be interesting to see if the Brains Trust learned anything from that game.
Unless they deleted comments, I didn’t see anything attacking Murphy personally.Nice strawman. I obviously have no idea what they did, but having had a little bit of experience with social media management they probably hid/deleted the worst of them.Unless they deleted comments, I didn’t see anything attacking Murphy personally.

Dylan Moore 5.1

Have we got the right match ups this time?
